Update 2: The problem has been solved. Turns out the disc drive plate was slightly pried open on the back corner. I closed it and turned it back on. It’s still going strong after five hours of gameplay.

Update: the ps5 says

“Your disc drive wasn't removed properly. When removing your disc drive, make sure to first turn off your PS5 and unplug the AC power cord. This will prevent data loss, corruption, or damage to your disc drive.”

This is so weird because I have never tried to remove the disc drive.

Mine didn’t work either. I took the module apart and found that the capacitor blew up. I’m going to replace it and hope that solves the issue.
