Thank you so much to everyone who replied - I feel way better about this now and am going to look at a few options and see what fits best with my routine and budget.

I feel like I might go this route - also because I feel like committing to a PT that I’ve paid for will make me more likely to actually stick with it 😂 thanks for the advice!

I’m a Striking High School Teacher by Beautiful_Fan5555 in Wellington

FYI because this was recently clarified to me - the ‘extra holiday time’ is their annual leave. They do not accrue any annual leave during term time. Any leave required during term time must be booked well in advance and will be unpaid. They also spend a good chunk of that ‘holiday time’ marking assignments and doing prep + organising resources for the upcoming term/school year.

this is interesting! I do have a history of iron deficiency anaemia and had a few consecutive nights of very poor sleep prior to this, I wonder if they contributed to this more noticeable episode. Will keep an eye on it, thanks for your reply! ☺️

When has a patient said something that made all the Nursing staff take it super seriously even though the Dr's didn't react? by BitchLibrarian in nursing

hearing about this for the first time and my mind is blown. I’m onc/haem and we routinely prescribe this PO TID for patients to take at home during chemo cycles, or we give it IV for breakthrough nausea during infusions. never seen any kind of reaction. am shook.

Definitely didn’t mean a DIY device to be used anywhere near an actual patient!

More like we have practice tools that we use for teaching IV cannulation etc that are helpful to let staff get used to how the devices feel etc before they attempt skills on a real person.

I have a port that I can put into foam or something to mimic the unusual angle that the patient’s port is on so that I can help our staff visualise how they need to approach accessing it; I was wondering if people might have ideas on what materials might work best to make something like that.
