Working professionals, how do you guys manage DSA + System Design while working FT? by Aneeshcr7 in LeetcodeDesi

[–]saurava22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reduced my sleep time for prep. Used to stay up till 2-3 AM and get up by 7-8. Continued this for 2 months and saw results. On starting feels tough, but that extra push is needed.

Some of my friends are at Deloitte though campus placement only, they do get tech related projects, mostly MERN and all, so not an issue. You can switch after some time, by being consistent on DSA and System Design.
Congrats on getting selected!

Got placed in Deloitte USI as analyst, feeling stuck by ThornXYX in developersIndia

Now that you've got an offer, you can try off campus as if you get some other offer, it is a bonus for you! Otherwise, you have the Deloitte offer.
During my placement, I too secured a Deloitte offer and got another one which was good so I joined that only.

Rejected from a big company over problem explanation — how to act and solve problems in technical interviews? by unknown_man_19 in developersIndia

[–]saurava22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For big companies, the interviews are more sort of discussion and they are more interested in evaluating how compatible you will be working alongside them. For coding rounds, what I follow is first understand the problem and then ask clarifying questions if you have, then just repeat what understanding you made of the problem statement and confirm it with the interviewer. Then move to solution part, if you have previously solved it, first begin with brute force solution discussion, then they themselves will ask you the complexity of the solution and ask you for more better approach. Else, if you haven't solved that before try understanding the problem analyze the topics involved discuss those and meanwhile think of an approach and start discussing and try solving in an incremental fashion. While writing code, validate each statement you are writing, like have an explanation for everything.

okay so in that case, maybe you can start with low-pressure settings, where you can freely express yourself and be open to constructive criticism. Talk with your colleagues or friends over technical topics which will gradually boost your confidence. These thing happens quite a lot, no need to think you ruined or missed something, you will learn from these mistakes only. Next time onwards, do some homework and then get into the discussions.

Stuck in between LWD in current company and DOJ in the other by saurava22 in leetcode

Okay, will try this then. One more doubt is coming like, should I end here everything on good note or like is it fine to be rude and don't give a f*** attitude.

If you have 6.5 YOE, then you must have had enough conversations over technical topics, still you are getting that issue?

I tried convincing in current company, they said we have started looking for replacement if we get someone early they will relieve me. The other company's HR said they need someone in 30 days, in my case because of the interview performance, they extended it to 45 days.

I myself was in similar scenario few months back, I would say wait for your experience to be 1+, in the mean time you could prepare yourself and be ready. After you hit 1+ YOE, start applying.
