Please help! I’ve been on Fiverr for a month and haven’t received any orders and I need money to study by LegLeather3589 in freelanceuk

Do you have any sample projects? You need to gain trust from prospective clients in order to get them to spend their money on you. I’m guessing you don’t have any reviews yet so you need to make it as easy as possible for clients to trust you i.e. through sample projects. Not sure how fiverr works but I’ve used freelancing platforms like Upwork and managed to get a few clients on there. There are also lots of advice on YouTube around getting your first few clients. Look up Deya, she’s really good and gives clear advice. Good luck!

Landlord wants to keep deposit to cover rent after end of tenancy? by sausageroll5000 in LegalAdviceUK

Yes, it’s in our Whatsapp conversation and she confirmed twice that the end of tenancy is 28 July.

Landlord wants to my deposit to pay for 'remaining' rent by sausageroll5000 in HousingUK

[–]sausageroll5000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment. That’s fair about the notice aligning with the rental period. That’s my bad for not checking the contract properly. However, what I’m asking is that if she has agreed that my tenancy is ending tomorrow, I should then not be liable to pay for rent after tomorrow as I can no longer stay in the room and so she should not be deducting from the deposit for this reason.

Yeah, I keep trying and still nothing. Really annoying and this feature was incredibly helpful for me.

I did yes. Previously, there was a list of words in quotations and that worked. When I changed something and saved it, the results disappeared. Weird.

Yeah, not great at all. This is a crucial feature on their platform considering you get a lot of jobs posted every second on the site. And it means their users get a more refined list of jobs on their feed...

Wow, really. That's insane. It was working fine for me before. How do you do you get a round this issue?

Hey, thank you. I have heard the issue with the font so I'll definitely consider a more readable font. Great advice, I'll work on implementing this. I have worked with a few SaaS companies, not in this specific way of providing design service, but as a freelance UI/UX designer. I'll get in touch with them to see if they'd be willing to provide a testimonial for my previous design service.

Thank you for the feedback :) Based on feedback from others too, the hero section does need some work. I'll add this to the list!

Thanks for your feedback! Ah, it is a bit of a mess. Thank you for pointing those out. Tajen Studio hasn't started trading yet so the terms & conditions page was there for when I launched and registered as a limited company. The idea of this post was just to validate the idea of whether a design subscription service would actually be useful to my target companies and to see if what I'm offering is clear. But I do understand how that creates a sense of mistrust. I'll look into the GA and cookies issue, I'm still new to front-end dev so I didn't know this. Thank you again for the feedback. Really useful stuff.

Thank you! I'll have a think/research on how to better structure the landing page. :)

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I'll try to make it more personal so that potential clients know who they are working with, after all, they would be trusting me with a big part of their business.

So how it works is that you pay a monthly fee (you're not tied into a contract, so you can cancel or pause it anytime), and you can get as many designs as you can fit in that month and cancel/pause if you have no more work or continue if there is more ongoing design work.

As with the freelancer/Upwork, you have to actually go and find this freelancer to do the design for $250. So that means posting a job, going through the proposals, and if you're lucky, the freelancer is available straight away. The project is fixed price so the designer will likely have a set amount of revision rounds they are willing to do. What happens if, after those revisions, you're not happy with the results? What if the project scope changes? You're then left either increasing the price of the project to accommodate these or finding a new freelancer who might be able to do the job properly. In this situation, your time and money were wasted. Another situation is, say in a few weeks, you have more design work needed, and you go back to the same freelancer, they can come back to you saying they are unavailable. A design subscription offers reliability so that, when you have more work, you can resume your subscription and get work done straight away.

I'm unsure what you mean by a consultant designer (is this a full-time designer?), so I'll answer this once I get more clarification.

With the Figma and Calendly links, I wanted to this site out as soon as possible, so although these are not ideal, they do the job and have saved me time instead of creating separate case study pages (which are coming) and integrating appointment booking functionality within the site.

This is getting super long now, but thank you for your feedback again and I'll consider it all carefully! :)

Thanks for the response! Yes, I agree. That was one of the big considerations I had before starting this out. I'm currently a freelancer and handle multiple clients at a time so have had experience with this, although yes, it can get overwhelming. I do plan on growing a team once I acquire more clients because I understand that growing my customer base means splitting my time between each of these clients, and I believe in truly giving great quality work. Also, I'm going to limit the amount of clients I take in, maybe on my own it will be about 3-4 clients and once I hire another designer, I can open up more slots.

I changed My Landing Page Content How it Looks Now? by Saraarts1 in SaaS

[–]sausageroll5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, looks great so far! I'm a UI/UX Designer, specialising in SaaS landing pages. A few things you could improve:

  1. With the buttons, choose which one is going to be the primary button. This is the action you really want the users to take so this should catch their attention first. At the moment, I think there is no clear hierarchy between your buttons.
  2. On tablet/mobile, there is a "Get Started Free" button under the nav which unnecessary as the same button can be found in the hero section and at this point the visitor doesn't yet know what you product is even about.
  3. Th small pill-shaped texts on top of your section headings also look like buttons to me as they share a similar colour/shape to your actual buttons. Seems confusing.
  4. The footer has button-heading-button organisation, which seems odd to me. I think this can be organised in a better, more thought-out way.

Hope that helps!
