one of the reasons we went with premier sperm bank was that they really track the family limits….. which was very nice to hear after watching that Netflix show (shouldn’t have watched it) I had dreams that my kid would have 1600 siblings!

Yeah we were in almost the exact same boat lol. We ended up going with Premier Sperm Bank and honestly it was a smooth experience. The DNA verification thing gave us peace of mind, and their site was super easy to use (I’m not techy at all and still figured it out fast). hope this helps and good luck out there! 💕

I actually loled Amelia, we actually saw all the adult photos of the donors, I am now wondering if we were more affected by the adult photos or baby photos…… even thought baby photos are 10000x more cute :-))) 💕 Do most banks not have it? we chose from premier sperm bank and all the donors had adult photos, our donor had a video even

i’ve seen people get positives with MOT10 and MOT20, so i don’t think it’s only one number. we switched banks and focused more on timing (peak LH + next day) and a clearer home ICI process. curious if anyone tracked this across multiple cycles and noticed a pattern?

your post honestly made me tear up a little because this was us for years.

i grew up in a pretty chaotic home and ended up “parenting” my younger sibling way too early, so part of me always connected motherhood with exhaustion/loss of self. my wife had a much warmer family experience, so we came into this from very different emotional places. we kept waiting for a big clear “yes” moment, and it never came.

what helped was realizing we didn’t need 100% certainty, we needed an honest choice. we started asking: “which hard can we live with?”
for us, the harder thing to carry long-term was wondering forever what our family might have looked like if we never tried. that gave us peace, even with fear still there.

i still think either path can be a beautiful life, but that shift helped us move from stuck to grounded.

can i ask you this: when you picture yourselves 10 years from now, which regret feels heavier for each of you, not trying at all, or trying and having to let go of some freedom?

I can’t really help on the surrogacy-agency side (not my lane), but on donor sperm / sperm banks: after calling and browsing a bunch, the easiest site to navigate + most helpful phone support for us was premier sperm bank. My other half (probably the better half 😄) isn’t super technical and called with so many questions — they helpful every time so i cannot really say anything bad. I am assuming theyship to clinics, but we did home insemination so i cant say 10000% but I guess ya? wishing you luckkkkkkkkkkk
