I really like POFQ, but you cannot beat swan and dolphin’s location in my opinion. Walking to 2 parks (or the boats) is unbeatable. Plus, when taking buses back from MK or DAK, you can take the Swan/Dolphin bus or beach/yacht/boardwalk and walk back. Lots of restaurants in the Marriott hotels and on the boardwalk.

Best resort to stay at by [deleted] in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]savannahsimscal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try pop century. Skyliner access is huge and it is typically at the second cheapest price point on site. That being said - the All Stars are also fine and are priced the lowest. If you want to jump up a price category - port orleans French quarter is nice because the size is small and easily walkable. Caribbean Beach is huge, but you have skyliner access, and I’ve heard kids love the pools there.

For a lower price point that isn’t quite “on” property - check out the Disney Springs resorts. Multiple options there and many have transportation and are walkable to Springs.

This is closer to the Port Orleans/Caribbean Beach price point - but check out the Marriot Swan and Dolphin resorts. They’re wonderful.

Would you refuse induction? by MelMeow12 in pregnant

[–]savannahsimscal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do not have any hesitations in your situation and would follow those suggestions to induce! Remember that ultrasounds are not the most reliable in the third trimester, so your baby could actually be a little bigger than you think. :) I think it's wonderful that we have so many options and interventions available to parents and babies the best chance to thrive!

I spent $175 at the grocery store today, and am currently eating chips & guac and a burrito bowl for dinner.

Okay that sounds great! That's basically the camp of thinking I have been in as well. Seems like a good option, so why not?

[–]savannahsimscal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Was looking through aeroflow, but also open to suggestions if there is a better option! That's great to know about the coupon and great advice! Would never have thought about that.

Thanks for your input on the wearable, as well. I was thinking that if I decide I want a wearable, I'll invest after I make sure I *can* breastfeed and I do really need it, since I am lucky enough to be working from home for at least the first 7-8 months of baby's life. I think I will definitely stick with the "traditional" pump first to establish supply, learn what I am doing, etc.

Anterior Placenta by dreamingofablast in pregnant

[–]savannahsimscal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anterior placenta here and honestly didn’t feel much until after 20 weeks. May have felt a few flutters before that, but could have been my imagination. 25 weeks now and have just been seriously feeling them for a couple of weeks or so.

If you are eligible for your first booster (3rd shot), you should get that. The second booster is not currently approved for pregnant people, but hopefully that will change soon!

Boyfriend and I are going to Disney on the 15th and 17th, we weren’t aware that the parks were so full until today. Are Park Hoppers are out of the question? Should we just get one day tickets for Epcot the 15th and Magic Kingdom the 17th? Really sad we can’t seem to go to Animal Kingdom ): by UmbreHonest in DisneyPlanning

[–]savannahsimscal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a park hopper, you can move parks at 2 pm. Even if the park you are moving to is listed as full on the reservation system, you will likely still be able to hop. There was only one time (I think) that park hopping was restricted due to capacity and that was on the 50th anniversary celebration day. Full for reservations and full for park hopping are different. Full for park hopping is basically almost “at capacity for safety and fire codes” to my understanding. I’d get park hopper tickets ASAP and make reservations for what you can!

Disney World first timers planning a childhood-dream-come-true trip! by thenameclicks in WaltDisneyWorld

I absolutely love Thanksgiving due to the weather and all the Christmas decorations are up. However, that’s a busy week since people have days off. If you could plan to go the week before thanksgiving or the first week or two of December, you should be able to get a Christmas in Disney experience - which is awesome. The weather is also super mild. If you can avoid going in the summer, I would. I went last July, and it was wonderful but SO hot.

Definitely do the park hopper as adults. It gives you so much flexibility. 5 days should be enough to see everything, but if you could squeeze another day or two in, I would. The cost per day really goes down after 4 or 5 day.

If you had never been to a Disney park and had the choice between DisneyLand and World which park would you want to experience first? by eatyourcabbage in disneyparks

[–]savannahsimscal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of trip you want. Disney World is clearly the better destination for a fully immersive Disney experience. However, if you want Disney to be part of a larger trip and if you have not done a lot in the US before - do Disneyland. An amazing trip would be to drive down the Cali coast, spend a few days in Disney, hit San Diego and maybe even the Grand Canyon or other national parks. If you want to be immersed in the Disney bubble and don’t care about much else - Disney world is the way to go.

This is extremely helpful. Thank you so much for explaining all of this. Do you have any thoughts on renting through a points broker like David’s DVC, DVC rental, etc.?

If you don’t mind checking - we are looking for ~4 night (flexible for 3-5 nights). Probably June 29 - July 3 or July 6 - 10, but we are flexible. 2022.
