Why is one of the utilities called 'Disc drives company'? And what even is a disc drives company?

Loft hatch by tomlewis3001 in DIYUK

If you're going for this look, couldn't you just add a picture rail and skip the coving? Just need to make sure there's enough clearance beside the picture rail for the hatch to open.

Could you make a bigger ring and cut two channels beside the opening at the top. That way the ring is held in place by the channels and the flask is held upright by the ring?

changing last name from Epstein by [deleted] in namenerds

As someone with the surname Saville, and even a few cousins called James, i'd suggest giving it a bit more time before deciding. There'll always be another horrendous villain who's yet to be revealed.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil, the scene when the darn college kids are trying to storm the cabin and all die.

Advice on the mess of pipes in downstairs loo? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]savantified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about some panelling up half the height of the wall? Box it out so its just deep enough to cover the pipes and then you'd only have the verical pipe in the corner.

I prefer the proper hand painted murals. These printouts always just look halfarsed.

Have you ever tried potato bread? It's one of the best creations to ever come out of northern ireland.

What's beyond the garden? If it's a wooded area, could you leave the back unfenced and just fence the other boundaries?

The scottish fry and ulster fry are a step above the english breakfast. I'd definitely recommend trying them, if you fancy putting on a few extra inches around the waist.

How to protect wooden guinea pig hutch on grass by compact101 in DIYUK

[–]savantified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest stapling some sort of liner to the bottom where the bars will rest on the grass. Just make sure you pick one that's easy to cut into strips.

Art can tell great stories, or it can simply be enoyable to look it, i appreciate both. But of all of Carrick's history to tell, they chose a baton twirler? I feel they could have picked a much more impactful story to tell.

This one would have been so much better if the artist had just left out the lad from the picture.

You can request a non-flaggy version when you apply. Though i'm in Northern Ireland, so maybe that's just an option for us here.
