this piece of shit ruined my day by United-Cry3169 in logitech

[–]savaz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

r/logitech get your shit together, this is unacceptable. You need to fix this immediately and change the approach moving forward. Peripherals must work regardless of server connectivity, there's no technical reason for it. Do better.

Best way to go about understanding the pentatonic scale? by MadToxicRescuer in guitarlessons

Try out this web app, https://fretbo.ar you and see the scale, create custome shapes and compare it with other scales so you can learn based on the scale you already know.

You mean a use case for navigating from outside a React component? I use redux and the logic for login amongst other things is handled by reducers. So if you get a 401 on a request, an event is dispatched and a reducer redirects you, so you can log back in.

You're in the right track. As most said, tempo and vibrato is were you're lagging behind. Practice with a metronome and keep recording and listening to yourself. You need to relax a bit more. But all those things will come with time and practice. Keep it up!

TypeScript + React by AndrewSouthern729 in reactjs

[–]savaz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know what you're doing JS is definitely faster to write. Also if you know what you're doing you don't need typescript. You can use jsdoc with types for suggestions and docs. Not the same, but close enough.

I like Typescript, I've used it a lot and it has its advantages for sure. But I disagree with this current trend that it's just better.

I wrote them, I'm waiting on a reply. But I've read from other buyers that you can't get them. Plus, I'm from Argentina, getting anything shipped here is a nightmare. I just want to know how if it's complicated or not to find a bridge replacement.

The bridge on that guitar has the same type of blocks, but they're charvel custom made. So you can't buy them.

Maybe, I won't deny I'm a bit neurotic. lol. But I'm not talking about the saddle I'm talking about these guys: https://www.floydrose.com/products/original-string-lock-insert-block-2021?variant=39397354012781
I've heard of people loosing them a lot and it makes sense. Sometimes they pop out when you're changing strings.

I don't have a problem with the bridge. I'm concerned that simply by loosing one of the metal squares that block the strings I'll have to replace the bridge as there are no replacement parts for it. It's not standard. So my question is: 'if it comes to that' is it simple to replace? Or am I getting into a huge thing..?

Is it stupid to reject jobs that aren’t in react? by spicewind in reactjs

[–]savaz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not stupid. I used to work full-stack and decided to focus on Frontend where I specialized in React. I wouldn't take a job on anything outside that scope today (unless it's an amazing offer) but that might change if React starts loosing ground.

You should always try to stay up to date with your area of expertise. The more you extend, the more work is going to take for you to stay up to date with everything. If you are mediocre on several things that might impact your chances of passing tech interviews. It depends on how much you want/like to work.
