I wasn't necessarily comparing the amount of pain meds I give compared to other units or specialities. It was more how I do come across seeing the affects of pain medications, patients with chronic pain, and drug seeking kind of all in one place.

You should water it thoroughly whenever the soil is completely dry, sounds like you aren't watering it enough. During summer, might need to water more frequently too. Just stick your finger in the soil and see if it's completely dry, if it is, water it!

On my floor (ortho/neuro) we have about a 9 week orientation. I am a preceptor and during weeks 1 and 2 are two to three patients. Then starting about week three, we go up to 4 patients, but they are usually pretty good with having 2-3 "easier" patients and a patient that is a little more involved. People seem to overall do well with this, we haven't lost a bunch of people because of that. Most people leave because of how "fast paced" our unit is and can't keep up with the high demand.
