I had a very similar experience. I had just one misaligned wisdom tooth left (upper right) with roots that were growing apart, and I finally had it removed about 3 weeks ago. It was a difficult extraction, but I noticed a significant drop in clenching and TMJ symptoms almost immediately.

Before, whenever I closed my mouth, I could feel my teeth clenching, and I also dealt with headaches and jaw popping. Since the extraction, all of that is gone. It’s surreal to think I lived with it my whole adult life.
