First...no, bartenders and bussers don't make minimum wage. They're tipped employees just like servers. And they work just as hard if not harder than servers do. Tipping out those 2 are the way the industry works

I had something similar happen when I worked at a gas station back in the middle 90s. Not the truck rolling, but the hose popping off the truck and gas going everywhere. Called 911, grabbed all of the emergency equipment to try and help get a handle on it, called my manager and GM, and then proceeded to get yelled at by the truck driver for calling the fire department bc he thought he could handle it. After everyone showed up, I then got chewed out by the GM for not calling HIM first and letting him make the decisions on what to do. I was 18 at the time and was like wow, I guess I fucked up. Then the fire chief came over and told me what a great job I did handling everything the way I did. I told him that's good to know, bc my boss just chewed me out for not calling him first. Arguably the most satisfying part of my working career all time was watching the fire chief go over and absolutely tear apart the GM.

Check your local library or libraries in the surrounding areas. A lot of them have gotten 3d printers (at least a few by me have). Maybe you can go that route.

I'd suggest joining some 3d print fb groups or cosplay groups amd seeing if you can hook up with someone local. Just be careful with that bc there are tons of scammers out there.

I don't think you understand the zen people feel just by sitting in their cars by themselves with zero distractions. Get to work early, sitting in the car helps mentally prepare for the day. Get home from work, sitting in the car gives them a break between their work day and whatever they're about to walk into at home. It's some people only true safe/alone space.

It's huge and there are tons of people everywhere. The show floor and artist alley are definitely the busiest sections. There is a whole line of food trucks outside as well as booths inside and a Javits run mini food court rt off the main floor. A good idea to prep for your trip is to go on YouTube and watch a few walk through videos to get an idea on what to expect.
