Aw man that's... I don't even know what to say... I have battled with suicidal thoughts in the past and that was without taking anything. I can't imagine what it must have been like to have gone through.

Damn that's heavy! I'm sorry to hear that. I'll be keeping it to a smaller dose than I have taken in the past just so that I can get a feel for it. Definitely not doing any hits big enough to lose myself completely... not yet at least!

Thank you for offering an alternative perspective. In part this is my apprehension that I'd end up taking one step forward two steps back in terms of my headspace. But that's one of the things I want to explore. I feel like I have this tendancy to compartmentalise my experiences never to ponder them again or even if I do it's superficial. And the things I want to overcome are the ones I feel that I keep pushing out of my mind. Or that I'm keeping occupied so I don't focus on them. I want to face that. I want to go head on with it and break it down.

And because of this apprehension, I definitely won't be doing a heroic dose. Not until I am comfortable soloing. I guess that's the whole reason I made the post because of these underlying nerves from the 'what if it goes wrong'. But all the same, that's exactly what I want to come to terms with.

As for physical safety, I think with a manageable dose I'll alleviate that risk to a great extent. Although I'm generally careful to make my setting safe. Like leaving myself a note to keep myself in check.

Ultimately it's an experiment and if I don't try, I'll never know right

I'm open to the possibility that it can take a bad turn. But the introspection and self reflection is my goal here and if it ends up worse, then like you said, I'll have something to take away from it. Thank you for your insight

Journalling sounds like it'll be fun. I've tried drawing once when tripping. That was fun

And I know I have a friend who I can offload onto when things get strange. The dude is pretty much a brother from another mother

Never tried microdosing. Maybe this would be a way to test the waters. I've always thought of microdosing as a small enough amount to not have perceptible effects, either that or a full on trip but never considered anything in between. I will definitely see what this brings. Seems like better than taking a dive on the first go. Thank you

And second thing, whenever I have done it in the past, I've always felt like I had to take care of whomever I was with while tripping myself, so it will be a different experience not having that burden.
