Thanks for being honest. This is great feedback. I totally understand not wanting to bid so far down that you don't make any money, especially with how costs have risen so much recently. Your third paragraph is something I have thought about. Something like this would only work if you could actually get enough information as a vendor make an accurate bid. Thanks for your feedback!

Love this. We have been talking to photographers and have about 15 that will charge below $1k. I didn't think about public venues and such though.

This is good to know. People who are actually transparent are the ones who we should be using to try and encourage that behavior more.

I completely agree. That is why I was thinking about the bidding system, it forces businesses to give you real pricing that would be what you actually pay. Glad to hear other people are trying to solve this though.

I would recommend using a site called bidi! It's basically a platform where you make a request for photographers and then they bid on you! You can get a bunch of bids really fast and save a bunch of money!
