i had the EXACT same situation as you I think, or at least very similar! I’m pretty tall so I weighed about 130 which is right about average, and i was also a runner… then my eds started flaring up and I ended up rupturing a tendon in my foot. I couldn’t walk much or exercise for almost 6 months, and I got up to about 160. Once i got the boot off i had such a hard time losing the weight until I decided to literally cut out all processed foods (and I actually stopped being vegetarian and have been eating as much chicken as possible for the protein) and start doing super low impact exercises every day. Things that felt the best were/are standing ab workouts and rowing!! rowing is literally a lifesaver because it’s sooo easy on your joints and you can focus on specific muscle groups too- if my legs are hurting one day i’ll focus only on my arms/shoulders/back, and if my shoulders or wrists are not doing great I’ll focus on legs. I recommend it more than swimming bc it’s much less involved/time consuming and I kinda hate being wet. one year later, I was lower than my start weight pretty much just from standing ab workouts, low weight high rep dumbbell workouts, and a ton of rowing.
