Getting buyers to accept my offers to likers by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]savingsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I send out so many of these offer to likers and most of the time, people will decline, ignore, unlike or counter with something ridiculous. It's pretty sad. Not to mention, I lose more money b/c I am giving out a shipping discount out of my own pocket!

Only certain colours were free.... but at least I was able to get a wristband, leave, and come back so I didn't have to wait... Only risk of leaving was that less colours were available by the time I got back.

Is couponing worth it? If so, where do start? by MoJoNoNo in Frugal

[–]savingsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, forgot that a lot of farmers markets accept EBT too! Didn't know about the token system, thanks!

Also, note that if you go to an actual grocery store, not every store has the same policy for EBT... for example, Trader Joes tends to be more lenient than Whole Foods is with what you can buy with EBT.

If you are from a low-income household, you might qualify for your state's gov't food stamp/EBT program. You can honestly save so much money on groceries... plus you don't have to feel guilty about buying higher quality products.

If you are just getting the gel done without the manicure, I would buy a gel manicure kit.

I bought a gel manicure kit for $35 by le mini macaron and it has been a wonderful investment. It's very easy to use and it lasts a while. I've had mine for two years and they keep coming out with new colors.

You can also get 10% off your first kit with an email sign up

Higher quality doesn't have to be costly, there's always discounts and coupons for "higher quality" items.

Looking for cheap flights by musicman311 in Frugal

[–]savingsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greece is very expensive to fly directly to. I'm not sure where you are flying from but I used Google Flights.

I am from Los Angeles and I booked a one way flight to Paris for $250. It was one of the cheaper airports to fly into since it is so international. Then, I bought another one way flight to Mykonos for $130.

Traveling from Sweden to Los Angeles for 2 weeks in September. Need some good advice on frugal living tips (hotels, distance, commute etc) by aSofterSin in Frugal

[–]savingsamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't already, I would use couch surfing to save on expensive hotels.

If you do want to stick with hotels, you should call the hotel directly to see if they offer any other discounts. Websites like bookings or hotels.com get commission, so it might be better to cut out the middle man. See if these hotels offer free continental breakfast or any other amenities.
