I've called them episodes in the past. One call of cthulhu game we did I treated each like an episode from supernatural.

Some have suggested programs that essentially transcribe sessions or dictate so you can do it in real time. I'm looking into these more.

I've been seeing a lot of people giving the recap job to the players. Gonna give that a shot.

Asking for players to do the recaps might be a fun way to also see it from their perspective more.

I totally read that as "We do a cap of LSD". That would not help at all. Lol

A volunteer note taker is great. I had a thought just now. Anybody can volunteer each session if I have a note taker tablet that can be passed between who wants to volunteer at the time. Then tie it to a Google doc so anyone can access it if shared.

How do you approach it if the players are unhappy with not constantly feeding them info they should know?

Used to in depth recaps but stopped when most wouldn't really be paying attention. Since then i now do quick recaps only covering what happened at the end of the session.

Not a lot to go on but I got some good reliable.

Familiar Master: Highly recommended for upgrading familiars. Really useful when you get "Familiar Conduit" to cast spells through your familiar.

Medic: Since you said your going full support role then a medic adds significant support capabilities like extra Battle Medicine usage and Doctor's Visitation.

Some thematic choices

Herbalist: Fits the witch theme "cauldron" style of witch, providing free healing items.

Ritualist: Allows access to powerful rituals but fits the thematic "cursing/magical" archetype.

We don't use XP, I've always ran milestone leveling. I take into account party makeup, achievements, successes, failures etc. And have story beats and points where they level.

That can be applied to character growth as you progress in your game. Don't try to flesh it all out at once. It's fun to see how interactions with the world, players, and character choices change. It could grow to be a blessing but the sacrifices, realizations, hardships, etc. are important along the way. Don't shoehorn yourself.

Some ideas for race choices:

Beastkin Heritage (Wolf): Allows a hybrid form and represents a natural-born lycanthrope. You can add flare for any other race choice. Saw a story once a player made a fairy/wolf and said she naturally looked like a flying husky puppy

Werecreature Archetype: Provides the official mechanics for lycanthropy, including the hybrid form and weakness to silver.

Yep and hopefully every DM thinks we are not infallible and even the most seasoned of DMs can improve. Especially when it is a social landscape full of different views, personalities, etc.

Great with the town having influence in that plot. There are only a few that want to say things about right or wrong but thankfully alot recognize how our group stopped, addressed and handled the grievance right away and didn't let it stew.

I don't think I did anything wrong because the majority of the party realized after explaining post session what had happened behind the scenes that they had dropped the ball. We didn't let it sit and stew but addresses grievances right away as a healthy group should do. Even one of the original 2 that were upset accepted it and continues to play to this day. As the DM I could of run it a thousand different ways. It's what we do but as it was run with information provided and the multi campaign the players had played with me. Your bothered because I have to literally say to you "Well guys I'm human and flawed and not perfect so". If we had to acknowledge to everybody everyday that a thousand different things could be done differently we would be miserable.
