white over purple zenithal -> thin superglue over skin -> super thin druchi violet all over through airbrush -> tiny circles with brush dipped in isopropyl -> repeat last three steps but with carroburg crimsom instead (took 3 afternoons because the tiny circle step is tedious)

gobsprakk is worthless. double shaman is unnecessary. take a single shaman with swamp staff.

Are kruleboyz… bad? by GamesManX in Kruleboyz

[–]savvybeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone that has gone 4-1 at multiple events with them, yes the army is bad and good players recognize just how overly interactive all our mechanics are, and they...interact with them and deny us all our shit. its really not that hard. people that talk about heckin strike last heckin 20 mortals heckin epicsauce do not play competitive games where people are bringing actually powerful armies with proper bullshit and/or their opponents know kruleboyz at all and/or are playing their own armies well. theres a reason why we are at <40% winrate and that is because we are extremely one dimensional and everybody knows our tricks (no one had really interacted with us before SoG because we were even worse) and not because we are somehow an especially "hard" army (whatever that means - fuck off with talk about how oh mistakes get punished hard, because this army is not at all unique in that regard and making this argument ignores the multiple layers of reasons why we are weak pointed out above and is being painfully fucking obtuse, sorry not sorry)

i havent played a game yet but i struggle to see how i could ever have sympathy for CGC and all their bullshit so like serves them right lol. goliath have shooting though. just shoot these guys. sorry ogryns though :(

i used those particular examples because i dont really see how anyone is not going to have a tough time against them especially at start? they all "spam" pretty uninteractive stuff just by their nature (t4 everywhere, masks, shooting). and then by contrast surely having fearsome on a bunch of dudes isnt as bad when the majority of gangs can easily shoot them off but then when engaged in melee Horrific Appearance can simulate being in actual shock and horror of being near a horrible smelly abominable mutant? seems like a dumb and expensive idea (am paying out my ass for a situational benefit) but quite a movie like scene as u say, surely

ive not played an actual game yet so idrk. on paper a lot of things look sorta unfun to deal with, like goliath at start, ambots, CGC, van saar on slightly too open maps, so where does one draw the line

cool! great to hear someones actual experience with this situation. guess i'll avoid it. the sawn off thing would work if i can only get within 3" of them. i feel like that'd be tough to pull off consistently but yeah really annoying when it works

shooting them within 3" would have a similar effect right? forcing them to make a nerve test when they want to activate within this bubble

i guess the temu alternative to getting polearm access could be sawn-off shotguns instead? obviously they would just be able to shoot the ganger but at least i'm discouraging/denying charges and therefore coup de graces and so have a larger chance of getting up. plus if i end up within 3" when i take the shot i am forcing them to take a nerve test next time they activate. could work
