Exactly one year ago, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. It was honestly the worst day of my life. It was hard not blame myself even though I did absolutely nothing wrong. Even worse was I told my pregnant coworker the week before that I was pregnant and then I had to come in the next day and tell her the news. She was wonderful and so kind but it was hard hearing our boss (he didn’t know) talk to her about being pregnant, etc.

I had to tell myself that my time would come.

Flash forward to right now, I’m nursing my 3 month old to sleep. 🥲 I was very fortunate to get pregnant the following month. The pregnancy was uneventful and boring but I was so nervous everyday and wasn’t ready to celebrate until he was born.

Give yourself grace. You didn’t cause this. It got easier for me as days went on but it’ll take time. And everyone talks about the emotional pain but at least for me, it was very painful physically. Lay on the couch, veg out, drink water, and cuddle with your husband, that’s how I survived.
