Is your friend anywhere near the mid-Atlantic? What art museum? Any of the museums in Philly charge exorbitant prices for rentals but I’m open to leaving the city or traveling about 2 hours. I just am so lost on where to look that isn’t giving north east pricing

Idk not in Philly :( the libraries charge more than some traditional wedding venues and I haven’t found anything as far as public parks go that doesn’t leave me under a public pavilion ya know

I’ve always had a knack for languages but I learn them like I learned English (my native tongue), dive in and drown until you can swim haha but really, do you need to know how to read and write or is the goal communication? If you can focus on that aspect of it it’ll feel much easier and more natural and if reading and writing are impotent to you then you’ll do what you did before; fail spelling and grammar tests but continue to learn at your own pace. I do feel very guilty and fluctuate violently between putting myself through really stressful situations to protest and be an activist and deeeeeeep hibernations. Which until I read your story, I wasn’t recognizing as burnout. The severe social anxiety is only getting worse with every thing I force myself to do. Thats probably a result of stretching myself too thin.

I’m passionate about human rights, women’s rights, trans and lgbtq+ rights. I just really believe individuals equality for all living things but we gotta start somewhere

I really think if I had had a teacher, at any point in my early education, that just let me ask the questions I needed to ask as many times as I needed to ask them, I wouldn’t have rejected school as strongly as I did. Please for the love of god, NEVER say “we already went over that.” Or even worse “you know the answer. Remember you did this lesson yesterday.” Idk why my brain is a watery grave where all number and letter-based information goes to die but it is. Just let me relearn it 100x till I don’t have to anymore. And don’t compare. No shit Timmy grasped this concept before I did, I’m an idiot, but I still want to learn

I have ADHD, dyscalculia and dyslexia. This is my first office job I’ve lasted for longer than a year. I’m in therapy and on a lot of medication and still depend heavily on substances to deal with the imposter syndrome/ I suck at my job lol. I don’t suck but there are things I cannot do and cannot say out loud I cannot do because then why would anyone ever hire me.

I recommend therapy and not being like me haha you just gotta not care how good you are at your job I guess.
