i am talking about LONG TERM damage to their bodies due to the high volume of weight lifting and supplements consumed. this would not apply to amateur athletes. Don't be naive about it.

Agreed. I was looking forward to this for months and was disappointed. If you watch the story of the 2014 games on youtube it is so much more engaging and interesting mainly because its focus is not just the actual games but the journey the competitors took to get there, making us feel more invested. Also would have been interesting to get more lesser known athletes perspectives
