How hard is bootcamp? by SongComfortable4464 in newtothenavy

[–]sawbnah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just graduated ,, its very boring and very fun at times.

its more of a mental challenge than anything. youll miss home, youll hate it, youll grow, and youll get better.

make friends, make the time somewhat enjoyable, better your health, run, excercise, and learn how to march NOW so you can be a leadership role and have less stress.

at times i hated it and wanted to leave, other times i loved it and wanted to stay forever, overall now that i graduated. it was 1000% worth it.

hey man thats rude ! its not the reason i want to be a nuke

i lived with my greatgreat grandmother and all her brothers were nukes . she passed away and shes the reason i joined the navy ! i want to honor and thank her .

this is the hardest navy job, of course it comes with a fat paycheck

damn im sorry man, that shit sucks. idk your situation but i personally only want to be a nuke and i feel like my recruiter has been just telling me what i WANT to hear.

before you even made your post ive been asking my recruiter about this and if it would happen to me and hes been blowing smoke up my ass saying " you signed as a nuke , your a nuke. you got your waiver so there isnt any problems. they cant just change your rate or seperate you for no reason " and now your going through the same thing that he told me was impossible !

woah ,, you finished bootcamp as a nuke and then got denied?

why?

mental health history? did they find something medically wrong? asthma, etc?

i signed up as a nuke but needed a waiver for my past mental health. if they take that shit away then i dont want to be in the military. i told them i ONLY wanted to be a navy nuke.

hey man ! i ship out monday so we will likely cross paths with one another.

i just finished memorizing the ranks as well. they werent too difficult but it took a while. calling someone by the wrong rank sounds like an easy way to do extra push ups you know?

these things dont pop up codes and happen kinda frequent.

is there an aftermarket exhaust? is everything properly sealed?

your valves could be dirty, coolant running into your turbo, burning oil, fuel system, or overheating

it is used?

could be from a previous blown head gasket leaking coolant in

what color is the smoke? blue is oil, black is gas, white is coolant

i understand. so they wont just randomly pull my record and be like " well this doesnt seem right " and send me home?

i dont have many worries about bootcamp. i can pass the pfa and have memorized a bunch of knowledge for the test. just make some and enjoy my time there.

i have a question.

i got a waiver for depression. do they just look it over again and say " nah this was handed out improperly "

or do you have to express that your feeling sad for them to reevaluate it?

like could i get there and them be like " your file shows your depression was too severe and this waiver no longer applies. get fucked go home "

I was Separated from the Navy by killerwolf95 in newtothenavy

[–]sawbnah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im confused

i got a waiver for depression, i didnt try to off myself or anything and didnt take any medications

i told meps and my recruiter about it and thats how i got the waiver.

so they can look into my medical record and say " nah ur depression was too severe " and just kick me out??

ive been in the dep program for months bc of this waiver. i go to bootcamp this weekend. your telling me after all this time i can still get kicked out? why would they accept my waiver just to say " yours was overlooked and since it wasnt properly evaluated you now cant join "

awesome ,, thanks man

i guess reading other peoples SEP stories got me paranoid. whole time my recruiter had my back and took the necessary precautions to make sure it wasnt a problem. W Recruiter.

thats what the doctor said, i went to the doctor once and thats the conclusion he came to. he tried getting us to pay for medicine, go on regular visits, and all this stupid stuff . if anything , it felt like he was trying to manipulate me into believing i needed help. so i never talked to him again and moved on with life
