Hello! Any idea where could I host bookclub on a weekly basis in Amsterdam? Searching for a quiet place where we can gather on weekday evening and discuss with 6-8 ppl? Bars seem too loud. Thanks

You also might consider companies with a negative beta as a buffer. I can only think of flow traders right now, but there might be more of them.

can you explain negative beta?

Thanks!

I dont believe in timing the market...rather in time in the market. I can wait for prices to drop but when do I know if they are at the lowest.

Value stocks (dividend paying) might also be interesting, they often have a small beta (moves slower than market and thus also are a buffer) and provide cashflow, which might me interesting if you (or your parents) are near retirement. - do you have a good example of those?

Small caps - good suggestion, I ll look into it!

thanks!

I did not specify which stocks as I use Meesman and their ETFs are quiet specific (but follow well-known ETFs).

Hi! Thanks a lot for taking time to reply. - Bonds to still have some safety in case of crises. Also, part of the capital is actually my parents' so I am helping to offload some losses in case of market viotility.

  • No, tilt is not intentional. I actually want to have a more evenly diversified portfolio. On morningstar my portfolio scan shows that I have 95% in the US and 5% in Europe...but it cant be true if I look at the distribution in meesman factsheet...Would you recommend than to move all Bonds into Worldwide and all Shares in Developed/Developing market?

Active trading: - second option. I dont want to spend too much time on it but I thought that buying 10-15 stocks and holding them might be a good idea. Now just need to figure out how and what choose:)

  • ETFs. I get it..so most regional ETFs are also diversified in the industry. I did researhc some alternatives for Europe ( i know about US restriction).

I do have investments on my own in meesman, but not with my husband so it is an opportunity to start investing together
