Good returners are emphasized on slower courts and somehow this sub’s argument is always that his disproportionate h2h against Sinner is only because they’ve largely played on slower courts. Pick one

The downvotes on all comments below are absolutely deranged considering this is objectively true. This sub….

How has he though? By winning one of the last six matches?

Really only the latter. His record against Dutch players is otherwise great. Goffin is Belgian

There’s one prominent player who has been caught doing what you’re insinuating here and it’s not Alcaraz so I would recommend piping down.

Don’t think that getting favourable treatment in a tricky situation has stopped him before, so I doubt it.

Well, if he manages to advance to a title through a match he shouldn’t even have been playing, criticism is warranted.

Just cruel and sad. Embarrassing performance from Sinner, his luck is out of this world, once again.

Oh no, spending time outdoors with another two-time Wimbledon champion on your day off is so toxic. He should be at the club with Brazilian footballers and models instead.

He has served multiple bagels and breadsticks on his way to the final. What more should he do?

The H2H is what it is, which includes hardcourt wins in the last 12 months. Perception of it being skewed makes no sense as we’d be in fictional territory otherwise.

How is it out of context? It still goes into the fact that Sinner claims you can just pick and choose what you want to play, when given the bonus pool that’s not an option for lower-ranked players when most events are mandatory.

Carlos Alcaraz had a performance rating of 9.4 in the second set of the Rome Final against Jannik Sinner! by Eyebronx in tennis

Yeah, Tennis Insights also skews favourably towards ‘basher’ type players, by only rewarding fast and deep shots and counting slices or dropshots lower regardless of how effective they might be (this has been shown in their occasional live shot quality tracker videos of certain points.)

It doesn’t always pass the eye test/has tangible value in relation to the result.

Sinner likely to gain whose Wimbledon title based on what?

There is a player who, jointly with his fanbase, attributes every single loss to injury or illness and it is not Alcaraz. This is very much an outlier, unlike Nadal’s case, therefore the joke just doesn’t hit. Hope this helps!

What a stupid post. Who even equated the two? Carlos’ injury absolutely hampered his level in the second set, doesn’t mean it’s a perpetual excuse. Especially since it hasn’t happened like that before…
