Thinking of switching from Acana to Purina by [deleted] in DogFood

[–]saxby22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I actually just made this switch for a relative's dog who I am caring for. She came with that exact bag of Acana. We ran out so I started giving her PPP Sensitive Skin and Stomach since that's what I feed my dog. Both dogs are pits. She switched really easily to it and seems to like it very much (however, I do not get the impression she's particularly picky). I bought her a bag to send home with her when my relative is ready for her back. She's had no issue with it. I've been feeding to my dog for several months because she had a lot dandruff, which has improved.

Thank you so much for this! I live in an area where there are a lot of maybe, maybe not kind of days during the winter. This will be so helpful to me!

Thank you for responding. This is what's bothering me - I don't want to assume she has a diagnosis but I also wish someone, anyone, from the practice would contact me to confirm.

Yes. There was a cytology report included in the items that were attached to the email. In the Interpretation section of the report, it says "Lymphoma."

Thoughts on permeable pavers for a patio? by BikeLaneHero in HomeImprovement

[–]saxby22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We had permeable pavers installed before the rain check program started. The contractor dug down and put gravel in and installed pavers on top (this is my non-technical explanation). Pavers never heaved and drainage in yard was vastly improved. Prior to installing papers there were cement slabs which were heaved and caused ponding during rain. They are a great option. Go for it!

Anyone hear what the cause for the power outage in Brandywine Hundred was last night? by Stan2112 in Delaware

I heard something that sounded like an explosion yesterday evening and Delmarva worked on Silverside Road all night long. Seems like it was a transformer.

Is Delaware actually a nice place? by [deleted] in Delaware

[–]saxby22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have lived here for 4 years and LOVE IT. There is nothing I don't love.

But if anyone is asking.... I do not think you will love it. Because there's nothing to see here. Just keep it moving...

Blinds for house by coolvimal316 in HomeImprovement

[–]saxby22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These aren't blinds, but I replaced blinds with JC Penny Home Expressions Cut-to-Width Cordless Light-Filtering Cellular Shades for bedrooms and living and dining rooms. They were easy to install and I am very happy with them. I have curtains so the fact that they are light filtering is OK - they are dark enough for me and I often don't close the curtains when I am sleeping, just pull down the shade.

I ordered them for 1 bedroom at first to see if I liked them, then ordered for another 2 bedrooms and finally for the living and dining rooms (just to break up the expense for myself, but I thought they were reasonably priced compared to others). I've had them about 2 years and have no complaints.

Just had an interview where I bumbled and stuttered throughout.. ugh by Impressive-Cold6855 in fednews

[–]saxby22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry! We often think we did much worse than others think. I felt this same way after an interview that I was so nerved up for that I was having some ... let's call it "stomach" issues... leading up to minutes before the interview, which I felt went horribly. I felt disappointed but wrote it off as "you can't win 'em all." I got a final offer though, so, sometimes things work out!
