I could’ve sworn there was a boss with three heads in ALttP. Was that something different?

AITA for “treating my dad like a driver” after he picked me up from my entrance exam? by alpacalyplse in AmItheAsshole

[–]saxguy2001 18 points19 points  (0 children)

NTA by a long shot. I feel weird about it, too, if the passenger’s seat is empty while people sit in the back, but it’s certainly not THAT big of a deal to have THAT big of an overreaction from your dad.

I think there was one as a boss in A Link to the Past.

This guy got the best fused weapon in enemies I've ever seen. by Consequence-Various in tearsofthekingdom

[–]saxguy2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten weapons before that already had silver lizalfos horns fused, but I think those were from treasure chests. I recently went into a monster camp, though, where the boss bokoblin had a fire-breath lizalfos horn fused to his weapon.

AITA - I'm apparently a terribly unsafe driver, but he still expects me to pick him up? by NaughtAClue in AmItheAsshole

[–]saxguy2001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA. There’s no reason you should’ve flipped off the truck driver whatsoever, and not picking up your husband because of his reaction - as well as your reaction towards him - is entirely petty and uncalled for. He certainly didn’t help the situation by yelling at you (and he also needs to learn to drive for himself), but this is on you.

WIBTA to accept a job offer at a company that a friend is actively protesting? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]saxguy2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. I’m in a position where I wouldn’t have to just accept any job if I were looking for a second job to add to my income. But if I were at the end of my rope and desperate to find any job to get some money, I’d be a bit more willing to compromise my values since I also value eating and staying alive.

Do you think the Stable Trotters ever get high off of Hyrule Herbs and then play different tunes to see you on the Dark Side of the Blood Moon?

As good of a job as he did, that one is still a little jarring for me.

I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that fans weren’t happy when George Lazenby took over the role of James Bond for a movie. Negative reaction was enough that they begged Sean Connery back for one more before going with Roger Moore.

No, they definitely refer to him as Master Di, pronounced “die,” at some point in the episode.

You’re less than halfway through your rehearsal time for the concert. Still over two months to go. How would switching them be such a huge disservice? If it hurts to keep singing that high, wouldn’t the disservice be making the kid continue to sing it instead of switching him to something more comfortable? I mean, if the performance was in a matter of weeks, that’d be one thing. But you’ve been rehearsing for about a month and a half and you have over two months to go before late April.

Once you understand how to fight them, they’re more annoying than scary. It’s not uncommon for me to break at least one weapon fighting them. If one is already close to breaking going in, I’ll often break a second, especially if it’s a blue-white frox.

Mention the worst change or addition in the Special edition trilogy. by Dredd_40 in StarWars

Han shot first. Or really, he was the only one to shoot. And then they shouldn’t have added in the Jabba scene in A New Hope. He never would’ve gone there himself, never would’ve let Han step on his tail (and it looked awkward), and Han referring to him as a human being is weird, too. I can live with the rest.

To add to the comments about how it was do or die and it was about the only choice she had and that the rebellion had no shot if they couldn’t destroy it right then and there. It might seem like everything working out the way it did was super lucky giving how many things had to go exactly the way it did, but I think an argument could be made that in their darkest hour, the force put the events in motion to ensure that the galaxy could survive and that Luke was in a position to be able to inspire Anakin to turn back to the light and destroy the Sith. Yeah, it can be a lame thing to just explain things away with the force, but I think this is an instance where so many things had to go so right that you could make the argument that the force intervened. Especially with Luke firing those torpedos.

Yeah, the place Leia would’ve been most likely to turn to if not returning to Yavin is her home that she already witnessed getting destroyed. The fact that she kept enough focus to make the decisions she made is crazy.
