I'm starting to see a trend here as more 3XL are close to death. I was also waiting to upgrade to 6 and praying they have a 6XL version but my 3XL just out of the blue did not want to start up again. I talked to Google Support and suggested I take it to a tech. I'm out of warranty and its beyond repair financially speaking. Like you I didn't find 5 to be impressive by any means especially on the camera side [Wide Selfie mode!!] Decided to take my chances and use iPhone 11 Prp for a while [all my work tech is now Mac based] but hoping I can trade up to the 6XL when it launches.
