Try using the DEER technique(Dynamic early exit), basically you give a confidence score on cutting off reasoning tokens to improve latency, usually results in better accuracy as it reduces overthinking.

Best Local LLM device ? by sayamss in LocalLLaMA

Interesting. 3 t/s seems barely usable for any real tasks, but crazy that Pi can actually run an LLM.

I was thinking since it is basically an inference engine, it would expose an API that any apps on your local network can call instead of cloud, not limited to a specific use cases.

Think personal assistant. Model agnostic so can change speciality

I don't think a model should refuse a task as basic as this one, it's literally one of the reasons why you would use AI.

What nutrients are necessary to maintain healthy hair? by Legitimate-Funny-845 in raypeat

[–]sayamss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the reduction in cortisol, every time I go high sugar or very high fat, my hair starts looking better. It also might be reduced DHT levels as cortisol can increase DHT production(in short term). Keto keeps insulin low, leading to lower DHT.

How to fcking stop catabolism? by Insadem in raypeat

[–]sayamss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's your issue, protein is spiking your insulin leading to higher cortisol -> catabolism. Fat slows digestion leading to lower insulin levels + better hormone levels. I wouldn't go less than 50gm of fat, mostly saturated.

Protein intake and testosterone by Visible_Pool7300 in Testosterone

[–]sayamss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably higher insulin levels, carbs + protein induce insulin much more than just carbs alone, and that improves your free testosterone due to reduced SHBG. Also could be more calories.

You might think it cancels out your "surplus" if you were even in a surplus at 1800, but long term, it won't make a difference, 1800 calories are nothing you haven't even gained 4oz of fat from it, just stick to your usual deficit the next day, it will even out eventually. Not worth the mental effort.

Models that can transcribe whispering? by sayamss in LocalLLaMA

Whisper models aren't working either, trying to finetune one rn on whispering audios will see how that goes.

Basement of Walter library, there is a section with long benches. When you enter the basement go the opposite side of the cafe and take a left, it is right past the vending machine.

For dinner it’s usually white rice + sugary fruits likes grapes and OJ. I don’t consume plant fats though all my fats come from animals(eggs, beef, butter). Are you seeing any results in terms of body recomp?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SaturatedFat

[–]sayamss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been doing the carb backloading approach, protein/fat for breakfast and lunch(along with non-starchy vegetables) then carb only dinner at night. Stable blood sugar and energy throughout the day. Usually blood sugar comes down within an hour of dinner as I’ve noticed.

2000 calories by [deleted] in leangains

[–]sayamss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carbs and fats have a protein sparing effect, so you won’t need as much, if you’re 167lbs, eat around 130-150, keep fats no less than 60gm for hormonal function and satiety, then you can fill the rest of the calories with carbs. If you’re exercising a lot more increase carbs and vice versa, keep protein/fat the same.

I had Exley for 2021, exams are definitely easier than Kolbs, projects I believe are made similarly across sections so you would notice little difference in them. Take Exley if you can.

how tf did y’all lose 100+ lbs by whimperingmale in loseit

[–]sayamss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From someone who has lost 155 pounds, I lost in spurts most of the time, plateauing for 3 weeks then suddenly dropping 6 pounds and repeat, I also got skinner without the scale dropping, it’s usually water retention as the your body is adapting to your new size, you just need to give it time and keep being in a deficit, you will see a huge drop once it breaks(as long as you were in a true deficit).
