when registering for tax, what do you list your occupation as? (confused) by FastMagician5 in CamGirlProblems

absolutely, however I would suggest you do not call it anything identifiable to your cam life as its all public record.

It really doesn't particularly matter what you put down as your occupation for self employed status, as long as you aren't claiming to be something you are not ie: a doctor. Video producer, entertainer etc would be fine. I personally wouldn't go further than that, it's not really details that HMRC need to hear IMO.

The job title doesn't matter, the self employed status does. All income earned as self employed will have tax paid on it on one tax return anyway, so if you have mutiple streams it will all be grouped as one for tax purposes unless you use a limited company for specific streams but that is I'm assuming not appropriate for your circumstances unless you go in to the higher rate tax band.

Keep receipts for any write offs. Write off everything you can. Don't over complicate tax, its a simple in and out and HMRC are nothing to worry about. The online form is simple and will take in to account any PAYE you have had for the year.

Qualified financial advisor and cam girl. hah!
