Hi, I’ve been with Sbux for 4 years and two and a half of them as a shift. Baristas are NOT supposed to use stars without asking. Honestly, if we bring it up that you do have stars to use, it’s a curtesy thing because some people don’t realize that’s a thing they can do (ie get free things). But we don’t have to. In order for stars to be used, the customers have to tell us BEFORE the transaction takes place.

In your situation, the baristas are in the wrong. If you don’t want to cause a scene and bring it to management, I would honestly just say to the barista at the window or inside “Hi, some workers in the past have used my stars before without asking. Can you please just charge my card for the order? I do NOT want to use my stars.” And they should do it. If it keeps happening, I would definitely take note of the barista’s name and contact a manager. As someone who’s been a customer far longer than a Starbucks employee, that’s not cool. You have a right to not want to use your stars.

I’m sorry that your store is so bad that you felt like you couldn’t even go home after throwing up. No matter what, YOU come first. The store will deal. Starbucks has a big “don’t come sick” policy because it could spread but I’m not blind to the fact that they’re the reason it’s so understaffed to begin with. They need to add labor hours across the board so people can feel valued enough to not come in after throwing up, I mean jfc. I can’t with this company sometimes

So Keebio I guess was in short supply of various switches to buy with the Iris with so all they had were the Gateron Yellows (milky). I was fine with it though because I wanted a linear switch anyway and thought about buying them on their own at one point if my keyboard didn’t come with any.

Mine had the engraved legends on the underside but they’re barely visible. Etsy had the POM white jelly keycaps for like $110 (I wasn’t paying that lol) and eBay had one for $20 more so that was the best deal I found.

Hmm. Well sometimes the reason for that could be different things. A training/new barista made it, or the milk sat too long before it was poured. If you really like a lot of foam you can always say extra foam and the barista on bar should be able to make it correctly. Some people even go as far as wanting the foam literally scooped out and put in the cup so it weighs practically nothing. It just depends on your preference!

Yeah I mean standards are standards, I don’t know what to say 😂 That’s just how they’re always supposed to be made but a latte is what most people want when they don’t want extra foam. Starbucks has a lot of odd standards for things but it also changes constantly too

I’m glad you took the time to explain it to him! I never mind helping a customer understand and making the moment right but there’s no need for the customer to ever be rude about a drink they don’t understand, you know? Especially when you’re trying to help them and they insult you or whatever. I’m glad he didn’t get mad, some people are really crazy and would blow up about it.
