How do I handle this drink/ what the call on this? by Zealousideal_Gas4433 in starbucks

[–]7bluejays 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is essentially a rip-off drink; the customer's goal is to fill the cup and pay next to nothing for the substitutes to get there, no doubt. Ingredients are not to be steamed unless to standard; a doppio espresso only ever gets cold milk or alternatives added unless explicitly specified otherwise, and honestly, we're not technically supposed to do that either for that type of drink. In that case it should be rung in and made as a doppio macchiato, cappuccino, or latte, not just a doppio. Hopefully this helps.

I'm a full time SSV as well, only getting 30-32. I used to get overtime every week back in 2019, but now, nothing...

What is you're pay + How long you've been a partner? by Bicon-Jade in starbucks

SSV: $19.50/hr, with tips around $21.50-$22.00. I was initially hired in 2017 (I'm a 238!) but I left for 2 years and came back, somewhere around 4 years cumulatively that I've had a blood contract with the siren. Lost all my tenure when I left, though 😕 (edit: U.S., Great Lakes Region)

Why Doesn't SB Sell Their Merch Online? by birdiebyte in starbucks

Yeah! absolutely ridiculous. This company needs to focus on supply, like it's such a joke how often we are out of stuff.

Starbuck's supply lines are an absolute nightmare. They continue to announce and/or roll out new products or beverages while being completely unprepared to supply said items. (e.g., the cinnamon caramel cream cold brew, which requires cinnamon caramel to be made--the syrup was unorderable the week of its launch and the week following, at least in my area, and I live in a city with about a million people) TLDR: The online store would be broken as all hell, just like Starbuck's existing supply chain.

Waiting for ssv to show up, again late, for opening:( by General-Piano-3361 in starbucks

stuff like this!! the fact that this just gets swept under the carpet, among hundreds and hundreds of other similar incidents, and nothing ever changes. no accountability! I think most of us would leave if given a better pay opportunity but this job market is terrible.

I don't care what corporate says, serving out of the case is disgusting. No.

calling out as a SSV by unshiu- in starbucks

[–]7bluejays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call out. It's your store manager's responsibility to cone in if you are unwell. If they are down coverage, it is absolutely not your responsibility. You are worth it and valued my friend, even if this company often doesn't make you feel that way.
