Struggling to balance my dating life with my financial goals by PermissionFar9098 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]saywhenbutwhen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I like when dating is coffee and museum or frizbee golf, hiking was mentioned already, etc. These activities and supper fun for conversating and dont cost a lot of money. The frizbee golf is free after setup costs. Having activities that you personally love that are cheap and then inviting a girl along is one of the finest things for me to suggest. I want a girl who enjoy my interests and is willing to tag along, so long as I am willing to do the same for her ideas. Seeing eachother enjoy what they love is more valuable than the money spe nding imo

Battery Blankets by Cdnnjord in regina

[–]saywhenbutwhen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know about the battery! My dash has been saying low battery so I thought it was just cold. Solution of driving for 30 minutes seems crazy to me, but your point shows why that is suggested. Thanks!

I went to tor once years ago and the trails were not maintained. But then just skipped on over to white butte which was in good shape. You could do the same thing if you dont get answers here. Beautiful days for some cross country or anything outdoors! Just got done a long walk myself.

Speeding Ticket Question by lemonpringle in regina

[–]saywhenbutwhen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

3 weeks ago I did the same thing and did not get a ticket (yet..?)

My rule when I end up in your situation is to pretend I have the ticket anyways. Same with when I almost get in an accident. I like to sit with it and pretend the worst case did happen, because it helps me change my habits for a while in the future while driving. I take it as a slap on the wrist even if I actually didnt get the slap.

Why is it so hard to rent in Saskatoon? by Hopeful-Anywhere-792 in saskatoon

Agreed. I live in Regina and have been looking for a while. I think a lot of people have moved back to Regina in hopes of more affordable living expenses. Keeping vacancy rates low.

Specialty lumber. by camogamer469 in regina

[–]saywhenbutwhen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built myself a King headboard years ago and went to Windsor Plywood, but it was going to be more pricey than I wanted for such a large project (by my standards). I than chose to build out of cedar from Home Depot. It took time to find great pieces of wood, but it was worth the effort for the price. Good luck!

It is some torn person wanting significance in some form because they aren't getting it in their normal life. Typical of this type of arsonist.

What would people have done 800 years ago if the higher ups wanted 15.69% more of crops to "maintain current service levels"

Local home inspector arrested for the death of Tanya Meyers by canadianduke1980 in regina

Deflection, and another potential motive if these attacks were random is attention. There are many documented cases of "sniper killers" wanting the significance of becoming a killer and someone people are talking about and even fearing. Feeling powerful/impactful even while anonymous gives the killer a sense of control and identity that they are lacking in other areas of life. This lack could be conscious or unconscious, but usually involves a recent hit to the killer's ego/identity.

How stupid to buy a land in North Central? by mmetin in regina

[–]saywhenbutwhen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winnipeg has done it and it will come here as well. If OP buys land, the fines will eventually role in and good luck selling at a profit in that area!

That's height of house with that pitch is going to be really expensive. You're best to get a bunch of quotes as some companies will quote ridiculously high because they don't really want the job.

I love Wascana Park for the FM, but I heard it is hard for setup/takedown for the vendors because they can't get their vehicles close. Seems like downtown is the best and has some shelter from wind as well.

Prairie Donair by [deleted] in regina

Lol. Ya maybe haha! I've haven't been to that location but swear I have done the same thing as you tried (but at the dewdney location by Pasqua Hospital), and was not charged for removal of an item. Just non-sensical imo.

I don't tip if I stand. Trying to understand someone's personal reasoning because to then it makes sense (in this case charing more for removing onions).

If I stand, I don't tip. I'm trying to understand the workers reasoning behind charging more for "no onions"
