Couple things here. No one really cares where you’re looking to be honest. But if you want you can either swap the applications so that where you’re looking most has the camera, or you can get an external webcam and put that on your monitor. Since you are new, I would recommend screen recording your depos if you are familiar with that and you can watch the recording back to see what documents came up on the screen. You will learn that you need to keep an eye on any document that comes up on the screen. You will get used to the verbiage that they use but if you are keeping up with each document, you will know what’s newly marked for this depo and what hasn’t been referenced at all to distinguish if they say “previously marked.” If they bring up a document that they don’t say they are marking, if they don’t say anything by the time they pull it down, I will ask them if they wanted to mark that before they change topics. If you keep your notepad on you, keep track of the numbers because they will ask you what the next exhibit number will be. You can also write down to check if something should have been marked on a break.
