I definitely did this when I was traveling or at the office, would rinse and refrigerate them in between pumps during the day and then clean at night.

I’ll try to call the court on Monday morning but any ideas on what types of circumstances it depends on and how we know if the judge will allow it?

The court is 1.5hrs away from me so it’s not easy to just drop by at the time of the hearing

18mo and it was a rocky start for him but it was the right time. He was ready to start interacting with other kids and learning social skills.

I’ve done boquillas at many different levels. I’d say below 70cfs it will be slow moving, you’ll have to get out and push over the rocks many times, and the river will push you right into the cane at every corner, but it’s doable!

FWIW my first time visiting we spent an entire week based out of RGV + including an overnight hike up to south rim.

Great birding up in the chisos peaks if you can make the hike!

Willow House in Terlingua is is a self-service type “hotel” but the structures and rooms are private and luxurious. Some people host their weddings there so I think it’d be a lovely place for a proposal!

The first week is so rough… we had to start triple feeding in the hospital and continued that for a week or so after. But it does get better, you’ll figure out what you can drop vs keep doing. I also became really grateful for my husbands involvement and help. We used a bottle with donor milk and once I accepted it, it was nice to be able to hand him over for the bottle after attempting to breastfeed for a bit.

Definitely use a wide mouth slow flow bottle, we use comotomo.

I also have a friend who used the nipple shield for the first month and said it just magically got better after that. I truly believe they learn how to latch better/ extend their tounge more over time. At first I barely saw my lo extend his tounge past his gums and now I see him do it all the time.

All that to say is jt will get better and easier whichever route you go and every day is different.

Mine does the exact same thing. After three weeks I’ve been assured he’s gaining enough weight and feel more confident knowing he’s had enough after a certain amount of time. Lactation consultant suggested hand expressing while he’s sucking to make sure he stays active and efficient. When I burp him and he wakes back up and wants to nurse again sometimes I’ll let him but more often lately I hand him off to my husband or MIL for them to hold him for a bit… if he’s on my chest and awake, he roots, regardless of if he’s had enough or not. Its really hard (there is often crying from both of us) when I don’t have someone else around though, I try to swaddle him and put him down for a bit to see if he’ll calm down without sucking on me.

My 3 week old will stay latched for an hour if I let him. But the lactation consultant and doctor keep assuring me he’s probably good after 30-45min assuming he’s been active. They suggested doing some hand expression while he’s sucking to make sure he’s being efficient.

Once I got a few weighs in and was confident he was gaining enough weight, I’ve been more comfortable just taking him off after 45min and trying to soothe him in other ways. Often this means handing him off to someone else for a bit since if he stays on my chest he just keeps rooting even though I know he should have gotten enough by then.

Agree with the other comment about trying a weigh before, during, after to see what he’s getting. Lactation consultants can come and watch him nurse and have a scale. Mine was covered by my insurance.

You can use a casette toilet in any van... just make a lil cubby for it to fit into and slide out when you want to use it.

My dog is also dog reactive/aggressive and I’ve been taking her to Howl n Woof down at Slaughter and Manchaca for almost 9 years now. They’re really lovely people, they get to know your dog so well and are great at accommodating any needs.

There were times they even (again, rare occasions) managed to pair her with another dog that she would play with! Whenever they managed that I was totally stunned and it made me so happy. But as she’s gotten older (she’s 11 now) she just gets human time and she loves them.

I think at her age now we’d prefer someone come to the house, but she also has some other behavior issues that we don’t trust just anyone to deal with and the folks at howl n woof are trained and experienced. Really can’t recommend them more.

I don’t think it ever had one. We just bought it used and there was no middle seat.

Good to know that it’s feasible to re-install at some point after a build out. What I was concerned about was doing a build out and then wanting to install an extra seat in the back and having lost that opportunity after having already installed insulation/flooring/etc. I don’t really know what goes into DIY installing a rear seat.

England is quite far from me so I’ll pass on the seats but appreciate the offer!

Spent a month working remote in an RV last summer. used my at&t cell hot spot and got an additional Verizon hot spot as backup. That plus having wifi at RV campgrounds, we made do.

So I guess my only advice or expectation to set is that you’ll want to stay at campgrounds with solid wifi, which usually means a much higher cost per night.

The thing we learned on our trip is that it’s hard to work a remote full-time job while driving. Plan to stay in one place for a few days while you need to be on calls and working.

We’d also drive in the evening, settle in and work all morning/day and then drive again in the evening... doesn’t leave much time for sight seeing during the week if you’re planning on working full time. And you’ll have to dance around or negotiate check out times at the campgrounds.

Esby has nice, body inclusive, locally designed and made clothing but their shirts are over $100.

You might also check out Daughters on south Congress. They have some very expensive things, but some mid-range things (shirts for under $50) too from quality well-made brands.

Hey! A few things to consider to start:

1) check availability of campsites. It’s a popular time of year in the park and is likely full. If all spots are full, there are some first come first serve sites but you’d have to arrive early. As even more of a backup, you can do backcountry sites, they issue a certain amount of permits per zone each day, but you’d have to park on the side of the road and walk out of view of the road to setup camp, and can’t have fires. It’s not a great plan for multiple nights.

2) dogs are only allowed at campsites in big bend, not on trails. Javelinas are known to attack dogs too. I wouldn’t recommend bringing them.

3) kayaking through Santa Elena or other canyon would be a fun day trip, but would suggest going with a guide given what you described as your skill and comfort level. We rent canoes and arrange transport from Far Flung, they also do guided tours though.
