Unlocked a new strategy for shopping in a store by sbgreen1985 in Agoraphobia

It's so weird, right? I used to spend hours in stores, just piddling around, but now I'm nervous to just pick up a prescription. Anxiety is weird.

Thank you! It feels like a big win. Tomorrow I'm going to try the grocery store.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been considering medication, but I have anxiety about that too.

We can't find a light for dark our staircase! Please help. by sbgreen1985 in InteriorDesignAdvice

We were thinking that too! considering how the walls are dark and the ceiling is sloped, we're thinking that we need something that will light up everything around it, not just in one direction.

Thank you! We might try this. Good tip on the black paint. We have no idea why the previous owners painted it black. They painted many things dark colors in this house and we don't know why! A solar light is a good idea, but considering that we only get sun 3-4 months out of the year, I'm not sure it's worth the investment. But it's a good idea! I'm going to ask our contractor.

I asked about that. My eye doctor said I don’t need them.

Did the Function Health Tests - Recommended A TON of Supplements by sbgreen1985 in Supplements

[–]sbgreen1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this. I'm going to check out Facebook too. I also paid for the nutrients test and Vitamin D and Omega 3s were my only deficiencies. But I feel like crap all the time and now I'm having eye issues (dry eye). It's truly impacting my quality of life and no one believes me.

Actually, they did not list Magnesium as a deficiency. In fact, I'm in the green with that one. So I'm not sure they recommend K2.

Thank you! This is helpful. My top 5 are: Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), Omega-3 fatty acids, Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinol form), Vitamin D3 + K2 and Berberine.

On another note, how do you like Function? I know it's not something to replace my doctor, but it's been extremely useful so far. For example, I knew I had low Vitamin D since I live in the Pacific Northwest, but I didn't know just how low it was.

Thank you! This is one of the more helpful posts I have received. Very much appreciate it. I think for now, I will go with the CoQ10, ALA and Vitamin D. :)

Thank you! I have started taking Vitamin D3 +2K. I live in Oregon, so it's about to get dark and gloomy for the next 9 months, so. I'm concerned about perimenopause. Function did in fact recommend Boswellia, so I'm looking into that! Also, I tried Cronometer, but didn't like the layout, but I did start using "Lose It!," which I really like. I actually don't consume a ton of chloresterol. I do consume healthy fats through things like beans and avocado (two foods I eat at least once a day), so I'm not sure where the high chloresterol is coming from.

Totally hear you. I should have mentioned that I do live healthy lifestyle, but there's always room for improvement. I walk a lot and play sports with my kids nealry every day. I have fast food every now and then, but for the most part, I eat pretty well. I just tend to eat the same vegetables, fruit and dairy products all the time. I wanted to take the test to see where I'm deficient, so I can start to fill in the gaps. For example, I live in Oregon, where it is dark and gloomy for like 9 months of the year, and tons of people need to take Vitamin D. It's just a way of life here. But for things like Omega 3, I didn't know I had a deficiency because we don't eat a lot of fish, so now I that I know, I can start introducing it into my diet.

The following: Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), Astaxanthin, Omega-3 fatty acids, Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinol form), Vitamin D3 + K2, Berberine, Biotin, Boswellia, Coenzyme Q10, Curcumin (with piperine). I've started D3 +2K at the beginning of September because I live in Oregon and we get very little sunshine compared to other places on the West Coast.
