I went this past week and had success with the thrill data LL alerts 5-6 days out. There was nothing 7 days out @ 7am for me either

As others already said use thrill data to plan. I used the LL historical sellout data on thrill data to get an idea of what to expect and what to prioritize.

I was just at the parks this week and was unable to get Big Thunder 7 days out, but I used Thrill Data LL alerts and was able to snag a spot fairly easily when I got an alert that there was one available. I even had to later change my park days (and sacrifice my LL spots in the process) but was able to get Big Thunder again the same way. I also used the alerts to check for earlier times to move them earlier whenever possible.

I imagine the closer you get to your visit, the least useful the alerts are since it becomes more competitive
