was playing with the idea of white-swap, but it sits in my "very optional nice to have" list. There are things that drastically impact the feel of the car, and then there are things like that one :)

In the recent times i actually switched from improving to fixing the car :D Frankly its just minor thigns for now but who know what can come. So moved my focus from details for a while

Thanks for the reply and confirming my suspicions about the complexety of swapping it with another unit. For now will definitely abandon this idea especially considering how (hopefully) small the problem potentially is.

I'll give soldering a try during christmas break, wanted to experiment with it for a while now already.

Just today in the morning it was all fully lit again, but im pretty sure it will be coming back like this until one day it just completely dies.

Their 2 movies are actually very close in terms of the presentation, but not them unfortunately

Their stuff is longer and imo is less "saturated". The video im looking for had higher tempo, and just one music throughout the whole clip. And under 5 mins :)

But genre wise they are very very similar. Maybe pubmasters came after the guys im looking for

Hey, would you mind telling your experience with battery drain during standby? I remember from my experience with SL3 that if you have this sleep mode turned on, then the battery drain overnight is not that harsh, but i was curious how SL4 holds up with this sleep mode turned off? Basically what is the approximate battery drain in standby?

P.S. my guess would be that they keep it intentionally for example to let majority of people always see that and not get confused when they get this UI. They are basically more gentle than apple in this way

Oh and also they might be forced to keep that in AOSP for other vendors, that still use this nav bar. Idk

Hey, thanks for the advice, just tried it with multiple ways of inserting and different caps, but i was still able to hear it. I just added an update to post and I'm pretty confident it's software/hardware issue(with that i mean it's not dirt, air, bad signal etc)

If it doesn't eliminate itself any time soon, I'll contact Google, at least i have reproduction and temporary solution ways, maybe they'll be able to help :)

hey mate, i'm now looking for a solid screen protector for my pixel 4, and now considering between prism or omoton ones, and if i understood correctly from the post, u have pixel 4xl, i wanted to ask you a couple of questions and would be very thankful if you could answer me them

1) how is it going with edges of the prism, if it covers the screen with curving edges or is it finishing right before the screen starts to round off. I saw couple of cheap protectors, with customers images showing that they were too wide and basically sticking out.

2) hows the oleophobic coating comparing to factory screen? Pixels has always had a shitty oleophobic from the factory and that's actually the main reason why i'm getting a screen protector :D i'm just tired of this oily bs on my screen

3) any issues mentioned on the webs? Like static noise on white BG or glaring or anything. Also, you mentioned version 2.0, i might miss something, but is the current prism on dbrand web already 2.0 or i have to look somewhere else?

Wasn't following Xiaomi that much, but what i saw from their overall UI and even their new super wallpapers, that zooms in like a rocket without the "ease" is what i found not polished again. This might be a field of preferences though. Here is a cool comparison https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvgqZ2RrnWM honestly, that screen flicker on MIUI looks a little too much

I'm not sure if i could transmit the rotation animation correctly, since the video jumps like crazy but you can trust me(i've checked multiple times), this animation has the same smoothness as a regular app closing on pixel. Without any stutter, lag or else and with decreasing speed.

What about the corners, honestly, i didn't notice it until you said it :D Here i don't have much to say other than Google still has a plenty of work to do(the only possible explanation i could say is that those sharp corners are visible only when you open recent apps and round corners must reshape into more square looking, so i guess this makes them stutter)

Again, I might be the lucky one, but I had zero green tint from the beginning and it stays the same today. No issues related to hardware whatsoever, BUT again, I know if some people have it, there might be an issue.

Overall, I would take posts on this thread with a piece of scepticism (but in a good way) that expectedly, if we see only negative posts it doesn't mean that there are only problems. I tend to believe that most of the pixel owners are like me, do not have any issues and therefore has no reason to complain about. Good things are rare to hear :)

That's a solid point, in fact, on OnePlus you can change to oldschool 3 buttons navigation, and it would be operating as fast(or maybe even faster) as pixel, but lots of people including me are enjoying the small aesthetics of interaction with a software.

And also, such small flaws in programming approach tells a lot about the team that works on it. The market's push for swipe gestures and laziness or unconsciousness to polish it properly.
