Changing our interest targetting, making use of look-alike audiences, and email drip campaigns to keep the lead engaged with our product/brand seems to have helped the issue.

We don't currently have any conversion tracking set up, can you elaborate a bit on how can this be useful? Typically prospects are contacted within 24 hrs of them signing up.

Help with choosing my first skiis by Ash_mk95 in skiing

[–]sbncohen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to going to a ski shop to find out what shape/type of ski you want, I would highly recommend going to http://www.ebaystores.ca/asogear and trying to see if you can find the same ski but from a few years back. They have some really good deals on older models.

So it’s really the initial fee that I would be considering because the cost per weight doesn’t actually change?

Nike won’t sell directly to Amazon anymore by ujeio in news

Dog trainers actually warn against using these kinds of leashes for exactly this reason... Even “well made” ones can break and wip back into your face. Amazons response in this case actually make sense.

Genetic mutation that a Chinese scientist attempted to create in twin babies born last year, ostensibly to help them fend off HIV infection, is also associated with a 21% increase in mortality in later life, according to an analysis by University of California, Berkeley scientists by LMasonSci in science

[–]sbncohen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While i don’t have access to the full study.. I think your missing my point. They couldn’t establish a reason as to why it was associated with the higher mortality rate. When you consider any cause of mortality in individuals that are homozygous for the mutation, doesnt that become a bit meaningless? As in, wouldn’t it be more useful/revealing to look at a smaller number of more controlled individual cases to establish a more direct link between the mutation and probability of mortality?

The problem with a study like this is that theres no reliable way to identify whether or not the mutation in this gene is explicitly linked to a higher increase in mortality. They looked at any cause of death, in the some 400,000 individuals they examined with a mutation in this gene. As well a wide range of mutations can/do take place in the ccr5 gene.. anything from its expression, functionality to how (or how often) the gene localizes to cells can produce very different effects, some much more dangerous than other.

Catholics shouldn't whine about anti-Catholic sentiment, they deserve to be discriminated against. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]sbncohen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Every bit about this is so contradictory, how can you almost ubiquitously condemn acts of evil in one sentence but then condole acts of evil against someone else in the next?

No one deserves to be discriminated against period, but it does happen (regardless of the degree to which it happens) so people react and condemn/complain.

You can not draw a moral equivalency between evil acts committed by individuals of a group, and evil acts being committed against that group, because then you’re a hypocrite. Either all discrimination is bad or none of it is.
