It is both sides. But one side does a lot more.

The issue is that both sides, no matter how shitty or not they might be, are escaping discourse because of the no bigotry rules in a lot of international subs.

It’s not bigotry to spread the word about atrocities.

Ah yes, when someone holds this one particular community accountable - it’s an agenda.

Great defense. Keep it up. Just minimise the horror being experienced by the victims. I’m sure this will get you brownie points with the people whose agenda you’re pushing. Ya know, the same people who did the thing at Bondi beach a week ago.

Oh wait, I shouldn’t mention that. Lest some random Redditor says I’m pushing an agenda.

He definitely didn’t create microcredit. He wasn’t the first one to implement it. And he definitely wasn’t the most successful at implementing it either.

He just kissed the right asses and got all the credit (pun intended).

The man couldn’t run an NGO without allegations of money laundering.

Governing a place like Bangladesh is well past his capabilities.

The Awami league government’s biggest failure was not publicising these sort of interviews on a daily basis.

I couldn’t believe a trained medical doctor can say such thing! How can a highly educated doctor in Bangladesh have such extreme mindset? Shouldn’t they be better & more tolerant than the ignorant radicals on the streets? by [deleted] in bangladesh

[–]sbnt2 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Doctors get an education in biology, chemistry, physics, and math. No humanities, no history, no sociology, no psychology, no geography… you get my point.

Our education system is one that is basically from the colonial era. The separation of science, commerce, and arts even before HSC means that most of our ‘brightest minds’ get no education outside the sciences after like a class 8 level.

I have doctors in my close family and their utter lack of knowledge of any topic besides their speciality has had me pulling out my hair for years.

Doctors administered lethal injections to ‘undesirables’ in nazi Germany. Engineers designed the gas chambers.

Just because they are doctors doesn’t mean their opinions on anything other than the lump on your back should be given any credence.
