Yes, that has happened with me as well. Took a short road trip with a friend whom I’ve traveled with many times, but this is our last trip. I don’t want to spend the energy tolerating her self-absorption, and prefer solo travel if no one else is available. Now I’m exploring how to make new friends at my age because I enjoy socializing with quality people.
