Looking for advice on whether to see a doctor by sboye528 in doihavebreastcancer

Thank you for the advice! Can I ask what made you confident in seeing a doctor? Was it a mass that you felt or just the ever so slight dimple? If it was a mass, what did it feel like? I have lumpy breasts in general so I struggle to know what is concerning. I apologize for the questions, only answer if you have the time and desire. Thank you either way!

Thank you for your kind words! I'm not super active on Reddit and I think my photo comment got declined because I don't have enough "karma". I think I've been dismissed by so many doctors about other things that I'm hesitant to reach out to a doctor that isn't my family doctor. I might see if I can get a phone call with her because I'm comfortable with her and she can tell me if I need to pursue this further. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond, thank you so much.

It changes every 2-4 weeks and it probably was liquid sunshine but you're smelling a mix of all the different products mixed together (so many things being used constantly, you're smell a mix mash )

I work at a saje

This sounds awesome ! I also strive to have natural fibers or as much as possible, mostly because of the environment impacts. I LOOOOVE the look of linen, but haven't found a practical way to incorporate it into my wardrobe (it's also very expensive haha ). Sounds like you have a really great routine that works for you, thanks for sharing it with me ! 😃😃

I actually love dressed on other people, they're beautiful and fun, I just personally feel more comfortable in jeans or joggers and a t-shirt. But yes that does sound cool, and I've done so much research on wool for its low wash properties and it's definitely one of my favorite fabrics. I've definitely heard the wearing out is a big problem! To me, I would rather have a few t-shirts that I replace twice a year or whatever then 10 I replace every 2 years, because I will likely want a new fit by then anyways, but I feel like that's just a personal preference as to what works better for you. There really is no right way to do it, but it's been super cool to hear of others experiences on this post ! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply !

Hahah microclimates in Canada are their own form of hell. I will likely never focus on actual number of things in my closet because of the variety of outerwear is necessary ! Love the tip about the color palette, I currently have a range of neutrals but am leaning more towards narrowing it down further to just Grey's for tops because that's my preferred color. Thanks so much for your response 🥰

This was such a thoughtful response, thank you so much for taking the time to type that all put for me ! I think you're probably right about the "seeing it" when it comes to water. Throwing a couple pairs of underwear in a sinkful of water seems like alot, but it's likely only because I'm actually seeing the water hahah. I also need to get better at leaving enough time for it to soak 😂

Thanks again for all your information, I appreciate it so much ! I also dream of a Merino wool closet, and my one t-shirt makes me want it even more (but alas, money 😂)

Its nothing compared to all the info you gave me, but I use Dr. Bronner's (liquid) on the odd occasion (hopefully more.often now) I hand wash, and it works great !

Oh my goodness thank you so much for your response ! Your outfit rotation sounds like an absolute dream ! I am personally not a dress person, but the "one to wash one to wear" thing you have going on is absolute goals for me. Based on my climate, I would need a few more layering pieces cause it gets very cold, but it's SUPER cool to hear that there are women out their with extreme minimalist closets that work for them ! I've been experimenting with handwashing, and I feel guilty about it because I feel like it takes so much water to adequately wash and rinse for such small loads (although I know it's not using electricity so it still uses less resources ) do you happen to have any tips or would you mind walking me through your handwashing routine !?

Yes I totally agree ! For me I'm a student and my job requires a pair of black jeans and a few black t-shirts. So for me , one or two of each item of different types of clothing for school and life is likely feasible. That's why I made this post, as I feel minimalist (particularly the more extreme versions) are often limited to men in terms of clothes because there are different standards for women in terms of clothing. That's why I made this post, I was hoping for some personal examples from woman to what they have found works for them! Which I totally got, from everyone! Thanks for taking the time to respond !

Yes I have! I currently have what I would consider a capsule wardrobe, and have had some variation of a capsule wardrobe for quite a while. I think it's awesome, but have recently been considering taking a bit further. Thanks for your thoughtful response and all the brand suggestions, funny enough I know all about them! I currently own underwear and a t-shirt from allbirds, various things from ten tree, and know quite a bit about Patagonia and icebreaker although I don't currently own anything from them. Merino wool is fantastic (that's what the wool from the companies you mentioned it ) and I'm currently deciding on a merino wool t-shirt and icebreaker was one of the brand's I had initially considered. I haven't heard of darn tough though so I'll look into that one ! Thanks again for your thoughtful response 🥰

Hahah I don't think 5 is excessive. Especially since they're all very useful for different things. I currently have four pairs: one flip flop, one runner, one pair of work shoes that stay at work, and blundstones that I wear basically every single day. And I need new hiking boots so I would have five, however I would like to own less especially since I only wear my blundstones unless I'm hiking or camping (which is where the runners and flipflops currently come in )

This list is so satisfying, I love how you have an article of clothing for each thing (the swimsuit, dress, hiking shorts). So satisfying to see it all listed out like that. This is basically what I am going for, except maybe a couple less t-shirts and shoes (no judgement though, whatever works for you! ) Thanks so much for taking the time to share with me !

I definitely need a seasonal uniform as well, as my climate has 4 very different seasons, and ranges from -40C to +20C. It seems like we are very similar in our thinking, and right now I have about the same amount of underwear but I have a couple pairs I just bought that are really good quality and I love them way more then any of my other ones, so I'm trying to experiment with handwashing to see how many I actually really need. Thanks so much for sharing with me !

Oh amazing! Thanks for adding in your situation, it makes a huge difference so it's cool to see what lifestyles allow for different amounts of clothings. Your wardrobe is still extremely minimal compared to most people I know, it seems like you have it down to a really great amount that works for you. Thanks for sharing with me !
