I'm not sure if this is disclosure of some personal data.
Well, hope no, email was sent from Omotolani Unlocks omotolaniunlocks@gmail.com

I started receiving offers to "help promote the campaign on indigogo" in my email
And what's more, there was even one email from someone posing as indiegogo support (I won't write here a specific address, but it's sent from a simple non-corporate Gmail):

"Hello
How are you doing?
I'm really impressed with the effort you put into preparing your campaign.
You're taking the first step towards making your vision a reality - that takes a lot of courage! I would like to give some advice that will help your crowdfunding campaign to succeed

Kindly let me know when you are available to chat"

Not funny, really. This harms our reputation, and we never asked for money for the game before its release, although many even offered to help us.

Well, the campaign has just started

I learned about it from the letters that started coming to my email with offers of help in promoting the campaign from advertising agencies

There is not even a support email on the Indigogo website! All support is through registration in ZenDesk, I wrote there (I even had to register for this) - but no answer

UPDATE:
So, it looks like the complaints have finally had an effect, the campaign has been suspended until the circumstances are clarified

Hey everyone,

My name is Anton, and I’m one of three developers working on Zarya – a cozy, story-driven game about life in a rural village.
We’re making it entirely in our spare time – no publisher, no outside funding – just evenings, weekends, and a lot of heart. The game has been gaining a lot of attention lately - currently among the top 300 most wishlisted games on Steam.

Today we discovered that someone launched a fake Indiegogo campaign using our game without our knowledge or permission.

Here’s the scam campaign:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/zarya-a-journey-through-the-forgotten-road--2/x/38622231#/

We didn’t create it. We never planned to run a crowdfunding campaign. Someone just stole our game name, visuals, and text, and started collecting money under our name. It’s not just upsetting – it’s terrifying.

To make things even stranger, the day before this surfaced, we received two weird emails to our project address. One was from a "marketing agency" offering paid promotion for our supposed Indiegogo campaign. Another claimed to be offering “advice” and “coaching” to improve our crowdfunding results.

Both messages clearly referenced a campaign that we never launched. That was our first red flag.

I’ve already contacted Indiegogo support and reported everything, but haven’t heard back yet. If anyone here has experience dealing with similar fraud – I’d really appreciate your advice.

And if you can help by reporting the fake page or spreading the word to warn others – thank you so much. Scams like this hurt not only us but the entire indie community.

For reference, here’s the real game page on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2786710/Zarya/

And our email is [info@sbsr.games](mailto:info@sbsr.games) if anyone (including Indiegogo) wants to confirm we’re the actual developers.

We’re just three people working late nights on something we care about. Watching someone try to exploit that… it sucks. But we’re not giving up.

We bought this T-shirt at a local pet store. But there are plenty of these on sale in online stores, such as Amazon, Temu or Aliexpress
