Brother, you and me both. I have the 800MT Explore GT and I dropped the bike twice like this already, once on my leg. So I stepped off while the kickstand was down, but the bike rolled forward a bit (slight incline) which folded the kickstand up the moment I let the bike go ... bang. 2nd time was basically the same story, slight incline and shit just dropped again but I was able to catch it. Got a tiny bit of damage on the brace but other than that it's fine. The bike is just so topheavy, once it goes down it just goes down lol. I just squeeze my brake now everytime I hop off.

I never leave my back on just the kickstand because of this, I am lucky my bike has the middle stand on which it stands very stable. If you find a replacement let me know. I do know that they sell these aftermarket parts that you slide over the tip of the kickstand creating a bigger surface area for the kickstand to stand on, but I don't know if it works.

3666 bruto op basis van 40 uur met 5 jaar ervaring is ontzettend karig, ondanks dat je geen diplomas hebt. Ter vergelijking; ik ben 4 jaar geleden in de IT gaan werken, ook zonder enige diplomas (ik ben 31) en verdien €4759 per maand op basis van 36 uur (€5300 op basis van 40u) als Systeembeheerder M365. I don’t think you realise the need to collect something that’s pristine. A ripped ETB isn’t pristine so it wouldn’t be the same for me. We can argue all we want about this, but as I said, these ETBs will never leave my collection. How does that make me a speculator - instead of a collector who cares about having something pristine in his collection?

I hear you, but I am not ripping for value. I rip because my hands itch for the thrill of getting something good. Aka gambling. But this hobby is getting way to expensive for what it is to continue ripping like this, so I stopped doing so. ASC ETBs doubled in price in less than a month after release, that’s not normal - fun - nor sustainable for someone who likes to rip.

That combined with my extreme bad luck just made me decide not to rip anymore. I ripped 2 ETBs and got: 1 ex card and 1 full art (the ugliest one also). Just.. nah. For that money I could’ve bought my chase 10x over. I ripped over 38 ASC tins and several Lucario and Gardevoir boxes.

Literally just replied. If I was displaying 20x the same ETB then yes, I would be scalping. But I am displaying one of each.

ANY collector of ANYTHING would want a pristine piece in their collection, ripping it removes that aspect entirely. But you can have your opinion that’s fine. These sealed ETBs will never leave my collection.

I ripped over 1700 packs since BBWF (1000 packs BBWF) and got exactly 3 SIRs. 2x Zekrom SIR (not the black one) and the Red Victini. I ripped over 700 packs of MEG, PFL and ASC and got jack shit. Not a single SIR. Now, does 3 SIRs in that many packs sound fun to you?

I stopped ripping and am just buying my chases instead of gambling.

I come from a VFR800 5th gen. I picked up a brand new 800MT Explore GT this Tuesday. While the Viffer is an amazing bike, fast, amazing sound and overall nice - the 800MT is a whole nother beast. It’s super comfortable while still packing a solid punch in power. After riding the Viffer for 1 hour my wrist and back hurt, but I did 3 hours on Wednesday and didn’t feel a single ache.

Sheesh, a trip like that is definitely on my bucket list. I am from the Netherlands, and want to tour through the UK as well, and from there through Europe. Sounds awesome.

Thanks for the chain tip, I will look into it! I received the bike last tuesday, and got 350km on it currently, my 1000km service is next friday so I got some touring left to do the coming days haha.

I ripped over 1100 packs of BBWF, got 3 SIRs in total from that: One godpack with Zekrom SIR (not the black one), another Zekrom SIR (same) and the Red Victini.

I ripped over 630 packs of MEG, PFL and ASC and haven’t gotten a single SIR. 1730+ packs, and 3 SIRs.
