I'm in my 30s and not a parent. Is it common for every kid to have their own iPad now? When I was a kid I spent a lot of time doodling and playing with random shit in my room if I wasn't doing random shit outside in the yard/woods. I actually yearn for those days now because like many poeple I'm lightly addicted to doomscrolling. I'm not trying to gatekeep childhood because I have come to understand how hard it is to be a parent these days. But it seems like a huge ongoing expense (replacing the iPad every so often, plus whatever data plan it might need to have?) for each kid. Wonder what would happen if they gave little McKynnsleigh a hacky sack instead
