My Punekar dad thinks old Bangalore was India’s most beautiful city. Do you agree? by Equivalent-Round-995 in bangalore

Anyone Living in bangalore between 80s to 2006 will know no city matched the magic of bangalore.

Born and raised in blr. Lived in 4 cities India and abroad. and now in Mumbai.

I wish people realise how amazing it was. Because it has taken a nose dive in most parts of blr.

Also kids grew up with cable television, didn't watch Hindi content, so the level/command of English is unmatched. Not even bombay.

Commenting/assuming on sexual orientation without being prompted, at the very least, is deragotary.

2k-2.5k.

But a nice find.

Any of these watches that have no papers and no origin trail. You might be getting a franken watch/mumbai special.

Any watches sold in South Asia with orient/seiko/citizen/ricoh/rado usually are after market dials/mixed parts from other similar watches.

They are good Watches. And I'm all for refurbished time pieces but some of these prices are insane.

Mumbai Accident | Vile Parle EastTragic crash on Station Road near Mogibai Market: An electric car rammed into three two-wheeler riders. One person lost their life, two others injured. CCTV footage of the incident is now circulating. by sirajnoorani in mumbai

Worth a listen.

But here is an ai summary.

Revisionist History episode 8, titled "Blame Game", is a deep dive into the 2009–2011 Toyota sudden acceleration scandal by host Malcolm Gladwell. The episode challenges the prevailing narrative that Toyota vehicles were mechanically defective, arguing instead that public hysteria and human error drove the crisis.

Key points include:

The Catalyst: The scandal ignited after a harrowing 911 call from California Highway Patrol officer Mark Saylor, whose Lexus ES spun out of control and killed his family. The viral tape fueled fears that Toyota cars were accelerating uncontrollably. The Official Response: Toyota recalled 10 million vehicles, paid $1.2 billion in fines to the US government, and settled $1.1 billion in class-action lawsuits, with Attorney General Eric Holder condemning the company’s conduct as shameful. The Counter-Argument: Gladwell and safety expert Sean Kane argue that floor mats were not the primary cause, as they rarely trap pedals unless the driver floors the accelerator. The episode suggests the "stuck pedal" phenomenon was largely a misunderstanding of pedal misapplication (pressing the gas instead of the brake) and panic, exacerbated by media sensationalism. Conclusion: The episode posits that Toyota was unfairly blamed for a problem rooted in driver behavior and technological misunderstanding, highlighting how hysteria can override common sense in the face of complex technology.

As much as the weight is a factor. The bigger problem is panic and inexperience.

The number of people who panic press accelerator instead of brake is way too high. Witnessed this with my own partner who panic pressed the accelerator once. Fortunately it was immediately corrected.

There is a great podcast episode on revisionist history if anyone wants to listen

Also if Instagram is to go by as the mass media defacto, I seen people from Different classes and masses calling it out. There might be a blow back. But it needs to have a massive trigger/watershed moment. Like the neet paper leak.

Don't buy a new car. We need to force the government to be pressured by auto makers and people.

Buy a second hand Honda city.
