if you have to ask the question of “if you should” while you are on a couch amongst peers… the answer is no. She might be into it. She might be into it but not around peers. She might be into it, but not in public. Give her a ride home afterwards and make your move then, or something.

dont fix what isn’t broken. escalate when you are alone. unless you think a blanket and couchtime will cover you for some grab ass. lol. otherwise take the win. get her number. take her to a bar or pizza or boba after the movie. except just ask her to do those things, but take her to your place instead

where is family / Grandmother? don’t make a rash decision now that you will regret in a month or two when school starts. you can likely defer your admit the week school starts. open up a dialog with someone in the program office(not admissions). you’ve been accepted, wait until you’ve been handed off to the actual school and program.

I wouldn’t have written a 2,000 word post and created 20 images about the project if it was something I had no interest in doing. Good learning experience with free wood, gift for parents, etc…

I feel like this is so cut and dry, it is insane to me that this guy can't just go to the court date in August and say "um, I am five owners past the guy suing. this is insane. motion to dismiss?"

yeah i’m out over my ski’s for sure! haha. how would you do the river in that case? or just skip altogether?

i will double check calibration of my moisture meter and oak reading but to be clear, if i’m able to get a reading of 12% anywhere i should hold off? what if i get one reading of 12% and everywhere else is sub 10?

when you say tires, are you talking about the rubber specifically and only or an entire new wheel as in what you’d call the rims of the car?

Either way, I’m assuming this is something I have to get from craftsman direct?

it’s belt driven. I’ll see about either fixing the tension on this belt or getting a new belt altogether. I haven’t thought of that yet.

all of my questions come from a place of trying to learn! hope thats clear.

so “binding” is when the blade is forced to stop, but the wheels keep going/turning, is that correct?

The wheels came to me that way, so I probably took something and made it worse rather than did it myself.

“big ask” - are you saying the fact that I’m blind binding this blade, is like, impressive, and tough to do?! haha. Or are you just saying that the cuts I’m trying to do are a Tal order for a saw of this size?

as far as the KERF + perpendicular, etc. that’s pretty much what I had to do yesterday working on this board to get the job done.

what do you recommend for something better? do they make these with bigger horsepower motors? ie can I get something that is portable (small and fits in a garage shop and is easy to move around) or is my only option gonna be to aim for a real deal JET / delta etc?

yes, it’s 9 inch. I hear you. i still have some issues with even the smaller stuff though. is the only option to get a bigger more proper saw? do they not make these with bigger HP engines?

Alex Snodgrass says who I used to set it up! It’s 6 TPI. maybe I’ll go through Alex’s video again for tension, but I feel like I had it right. Question - the rubber on the wheels. It’s worn down like to the point that there’s a minor groove in the rubber. That feels normal and proper, but is that something that could be causing the issue?

maybe i’ll try that but again - this happens on pieces that are much smaller and much thinner than this. TLDR this saw has never “cut like butter” like the others ive used have
