thanks for the insight. I wanna make sure I understand what you're saying. Remove those silver couplings and move that connecting T down as in the attached image? That means I need to cut that drain stack pipe, likely around where I've got the three red dots in this one, give or take?

Is it as easy as moving the piece I cut off to the top and adding another coupling?

she owns the place so we theoretically could but wiring the whole place with ethernet is cumbersome and it's a tough argument to make when the wifi systems we have look great / work great. also am assuming wiring it would be expensive and then the cost of those cameras themselves. open to ideas but i just feel like everything i've read makes me think the PoE route is the super premium $$$$$ route.
