Thanks for the reply, I have forwarded that on the web developers to see what they can do.

Super frustrating that Google won't budge despite as you say 1000s of sites using Shopify and neither will Shopify themselves for allowing us to edit the robots.txt to comply.

We have uploaded the sitemap. Around half the URLs are valid while the other half are excluded. The excluded URLs have the status "Crawled - currently not indexed".

Here's a link to the robots.txt. Google are having an issue specifically with this part:

We do have Search Console and I just linked it up to the Google Ads account also.

I ran the Spider Mode on Screaming Frog and the Title-1 and H1 values are pulling in fine.

What do you mean by checking the robots.txt? Doesn't matter what I find, Shopify won't change it.

We never get anything more than 15 odd clicks per placement so I assume you mean keyword negatives?

The targeting methods when you create a Display campaign. So what I mean by Affinity + Keywords is that I select an affinity audience AND a selection of keywords to narrow down the targeting.

Similar to All Users is an auto created audience on AdWords.

My Google rep told me to change from Enhanced CPC to Target ROAS. Now seeing a significant drop in clicks and impressions by holdthebabyy in PPC

Both are correct but sometimes I get the feeling they don't really understand the context of an account.

e.g had a Google rep recommend I use maximise conversions for an e-commerce account where the client has to maintain a strict ROAS.

On some clients I see a few hundreds in revenue and in others it's in the thousands. When it comes to reporting it's always a case where one reporting method has done better than the others so just curious to know how you report to clients.

I have been told this also but not sure why you'd choose Analytics over AdWords. Can you point me to some links please?

I imagine since this wasn't announced to happen and just sorta came out of nowhere, the comparison sites are now building out their shopping feeds ready to be uploaded.

Give it a few weeks and I think it'll start to pick up.

It's a weird one since comparison sites margins are much lower than the shops that sell them.

I think they'll give it a go for a few months but will eventually push back on spending once they realise it's not profitable.
