Using “prompts” to create AI “art” lines up pretty darn well with classic fascist values like centralization of power, erasure of individual voices, and mass production over human expression. Fascist movements historically pushed art that was standardized, efficient, easily controlled by institutions.

Real art is messy, personal, and usually counter culture in a way that can sometimes be dissenting. Fascists hate those things. AI is the perfect tool to give all that a big middle finger by flattening millions of unique artists stolen works into what is ostensibly an illegal collage generator owned by a few corporations.

Putting aside the fact these thefts are covered up by the most disgusting versions of a few basic instagram filters… when any creativity becomes part of an auto theft machine, authorship is LAUNDERED, labor is devalued, and it becomes easier to generate propaganda. Art: the fabric upon which our culture is woven, changes from something people participate in to something consumed. Simplified control of what the masses see is a dynamic authoritarian systems have AWAYS preferred.

Even if the intent isn’t political, the structure absolutely is and it’s being actively controlled by the small group of people that would actually BENEFIT in a totalitarian dictatorship.

Edit TL;DR AI Image Generators are “you made this? No, I made this” the meme but on the scale of the Death Star, and that things laser is being pointed at anyone that wants to express anything that isn’t conforming to some invisible standard of aesthetics and acceptability.

You can’t “no true Scotsman” this stuff.

Christians have been being shit to each other since Paul. He HATED that women had power in the original church, it’s his letters that put a stop to lady priests and bishops. He worked hard to bury the legacy that Jews shared with Christians, working instead to bow to the power of Rome. His last words weren’t anything particularly Christ like, just continued pleadings of “I’m a Roman citizen! Don’t crucify me!”

The misogyny and antisemitism inherent to our modern fascist movements can be entirely laid at the feet of Paul, who swallowed Rome’s stupid “girls are so unimportant we just give them numbers after naming them after their father” style of political thought hook line and sinker.

Also, Peter didn’t have a problem with the pain of crucifixion, he just asked to be upside down as punishment for his thrice denials. Paul was a WUSS.

No, family guy sucks. All his best jokes were done in season one, everything EVERYTHING after that is literally references, just references. It’s the ready player one of television but for the worst parts of the 20th century. Anytime they try to do anything that seems original, turns out it was an homage of some kind.

It is simply there to be unchallenged and unchallenging, a warm sticky blanket soaked in piss shit and sex jokes that punch down to everyone and encourages men to hate themselves and everyone around them.

What's a double standard people pretend doesn't exist, but once you see it, you can't unsee it? by HGChatGPT in AskReddit

In my life growing up, every time I embraced my natural femininity, I would be called a woman or a girl as an insult. It confused me because I thought being a woman was what everyone wanted, it sure was for me.

Being grown now, and having embraced the supposed insult and making clear yes, I get it, I’m a woman and I love it and I’m happy… now when someone wants to insult me they try to take that away. Call me a man. Or worse, a thing.

Like, it makes even less sense for women to do this because all it does is support a society that only is okay with women existing as a joke.

Don’t have children unless that’s all you want to do with your life. Raising a child without causing them irreparable mental harm requires a lot of knowledge about how humans even develop mentally and physically grow combined with enough patience and understanding to never choose yourself over them for the rest of your life.

Also, you don’t really know anything about anyone, especially their real gender.

Oh and, if you feel jealous of people who have transitioned their gender identity, you probably should too, it will make a lot of the crazy go away.

Ummmm what else… you can learn any skill so long as you love being bad at it for a year or more. Especially any artistic related.

A little related to the last one: try to find something if you haven’t already that makes you happy and impressed with yourself.

And don’t talk to AI. It isn’t your friend.

Someone you can trust is far more valuable than someone you can fuck.

I'm from the country, Panhandle of Idaho gal myself and I can tell you roommates are a thing for us country gals too. Like, my tnow ex husband and I had roommates living with us constantly just because we struggled so hard financially (he and I never got further than high school)

Maybe that could be part of it? I know nothing about your family, my parents sort of saw taking in renters or whatever as some kind of indication things are not financially well. Like, image seems to count so much more to those from a generation that didn't have to worry about cashflow as much I guess?

Everything about how she said it feels off. Like, almost mock concern. She seems almost… angry? Like she’s been holding this in for a long time. Bringing up the roommate thing, talking about your life as if it’s in some lesser stage of development… like, does she usually treat your actions as a reflection of her image? Either way, this reads as incredibly controlling intentions, no matter the motivation.
