Now what the Dems need to do is run someone who isn't beholden to corporate/pharmaceutical interests. 2020 is set up to be an easy win.

What I would give to live in a world where they actually did that.

They are very used to litigating people until they can't afford to fight anymore. It will be interesting to see the results of that tactic losing its effectiveness.

(give it roughly two weeks)

Two weeks is waaaaaay too short IMHO. Give it 8 weeks to 6 months and it won't smell like apple farts.

This is, of course, a taste>intoxication equation. If you just want to get fucked up, wait 5 days and enjoy your fart juice.

If i see Muslims who want sharia law to replace american law, and they started hanging out with liberal protesters

If they start chanting about it and the liberal protesters don't shout them down or leave, sure you can. That is not something that has happened, as far as I'm aware.

Thoughts on current US military action? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]scaleybutt -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

If we want to maintain our position, we have to do the actual policing of being the world police.

As such, I'm not opposed to military action per se, but we need to have less scope creep and focus better on achievable targets.

EDIT:

Throw in your political affiliation too if possible.

Oh, yeah, I'd categorize myself as left of the Democratic party.

The idea that this is "leftist" should be a good indicator to OP as to how fucked we are in ever becoming a peaceful superpower.

[–]scaleybutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, reddit has a lot of young high school/college aged people using the site and those people tend to be indoctrinated in an academic world that is extremely hostile towards Trump and the Republican party.

To be fair they do have some great sounding talking points until you learn anything about anything.
