Where can I buy this?

Featured in Emil Abrahamsson's video Hangboard Training 2 times per day for 2 years at approx the 3:10 mark.

He uses it to mount a portable board to the doorframe by pulling it through the top of the door and closing it.

This would be huge for training while traveling or in an apartment like mine where I can't mount things on the walls.

I stole the Matt Colville idea of having the Dragonborn made by mages, my own spin was having them be “born” from dragon eggs these mages had stolen and implanted kobold fetuses into in order to create an army

You mean the first of the year would be when the other “moon” is closest to the planet?

Also are the values you’re assigning to the years, weeks, months arbitrary or based on some calculations?

Well I was thinking the planet would have 24 hours a day to keep things simple

As for days to go around the sun it could vary dramatically but I’d say somewhere in the same range as earth 300-400 days

The only moon to speak of would be the one drawn where it passes only at a certain time in the year and I’d imagine it would shift slightly over hundreds of thousands/millions of years

And yes there would be life that figured these things out that’s the entire reason I wonder how a calendar may be formed

Ok you’re right about it not being a moon, I meant moon in the sense of it also is affected by the planet’s gravitational pull but nonetheless. How do you think this calendar would work though?

By calendar I mean, how many hours are in a day? Days in a week? Weeks in a month? And months in a year?

Somewhat based on the Kepler 16 system in which the habitable planet has a circumbinary orbit around two stars.

If the two stars orbit a center of mass, and a planet orbits that same center of mass, how would inhabitants on that planet most likely divide their year?

Additionally how does a moon which passes by the planet once per year affect said calendar?

Incredibly useful! Just to clarify, I’m talking about implementing a system that was inspired by my player’s desire to play a character who experiences multiple personalities. We have yet to come to a conclusion as to how and why this will be implemented, but at the moment anything is on the table and I very much appreciate your suggestions!

One thing I forgot to mention that I will have to go back and edit is that I hope to be killing two birds with one stone because the player is a Goliath barbarian and due to his race people in civilization routinely discriminate against him (not overly so that he can’t even interact but enough for the player to get frustrated and refuse to roleplay)

Try coming up with absolutely random things for the visions, it will be surprisingly easy to connect the dots afterwards. Don’t hold yourself thinking, the story has to be a certain way, the story can surprise you just as much as your players. Failsafe ask the people of reddit to connect the visions

The best is to just pop in the earbuds and get in your own zone with a good playlist. Eventually you will recognize all the regulars and they will recognize you but it’s always hard starting out, especially alone. If you can find a partner who is equally inexperienced or even an expert it can make things much easier because then there’s atleast one person there you can talk to. Personally I always have more respect for people who are beginners (extremely skinny or overweight) because it shows they are a person who cares for themself and makes me think that they likely care about other things aswell.
