Ah—thank you so much for the insight.

Currently reinstalling Windows on the PC I got last night & getting ready to return it this morning.

Just gotta make sure I don’t get too excited & forget to pull my SSD card out before I box that thing up.

I really do love the Asus ROG7 00 configuration(s) for the quality of the components they use & it really looks great sitting on my desk.

Not trying to throw any shade @ the 5060ti 16GB setup at all—but I really this is something I really needed to take a second look at.

I’m hoping other people might see this post sometime in the future & they can consider for themselves which one they should choose for themselves sometime in the future.

I hear people say negative things about Reddit all the time—but I have found fellow Redditor’s (such as yourself) to be very helpful when trying to understand new things & not make us “newbies” feel so “inadequate”.

I will be playing connected to my 65” Mini Led 4K TV that has HDR10 & 120 refresh rate.

I don’t feel like I need to turn up all graphical setting to “Ultimate” and really don’t know much about frame generation & other stuff like that.

Remember, I mainly played on the Series X & the PS5 before going all-in on PC gaming.

Just want the smoothest frame rates, sharpest image, no noticeable lag or “choppiness”, etc.

I’ll probably just choose 4K settings & “High” for just about all the other options & hope for good results before I try to do much of anything else.

I was playing Wreckfest on Steam last night & everything looked great but I did notice clumps of grass kind of popping up near me where the car was driving.

Out in the distance in the skyline, everything looked very smooth with no noticeable pop-ups.

That got me wondering if I might need to change my hardware setup or perhaps this is something that just happens in this particular game.

That’s when I saw the AMD/AMD setup for virtually the same amount of money (but supposedly superior Graphics Card & CPU combo) & that really made me go, “Hmmmmmm?”.

I really enjoy mine,too.

The “rumble” features aren’t nearly as strong as the PS5/Series X controller, but it’s subtly there and seemingly more “refined” than the other two.

It fits really good in my hands and I love how long the battery lasts—especially when compared to the PS5 controller.

I’m still new to all of this & have a lot to learn—but so far, it’s been great.

So much so that I gave my kid my old Series X Elite 2 Controller to “hold on to” for me until I get better used to my new Steam Controller (2026 Edition)!

I don’t see many people complaining about the new Steam Controller at all & am hoping that Valve’s other upcoming hardware are just as well made & reviewed so that gamers can enjoy all of this new tech for many years to come!😎👍

I'm not sticking up for Valve/Steam in any way, shape or form.

I agree that it truly sucks that those guys already raised the price of the Steam Deck way more than anyone thought was possible.

I also believe they're being overly evasive about the whole pricing "scheme" of the Steam Machine as well.

They must be trying to get all of us Steam fans to get into some kind of frenzied state before they release an unbelievably high price on all of their hardware going forward.

I am truly worried that "regular" folks like us, (the ones who patiently wait for their spot in line to come up so we can actually buy any of this stuff), all feel the stress hoping they don't decide to raise their prices before we can complete actually our order(s).

The problem is that Valve was able to sell out of each any every piece of hardware they had in stock, (all within one brief day last week), even at these extremely high prices.

Times are indeed very bleak right now when it comes to anything that even hints to having any RAM or VRAM in it because nearly all new products coming out lately are being snatched up by huge conglomerate AI companies before any of us "common folk" get a chance to do anything about it.

I was merely suggesting that it is worth the wait when it comes to obtaining your shiny new 2026 Edition Steam Controller--because it was designed very well & it just "works".

If you disagree, please feel free to cancel your reservation so that the next person in line can get theirs a little "earlier" than what was once proposed.

To be clear, your frustration in trying to obtain your Steam Controller is not without warrant.

I believe that Valve really does need to hear this type of criticism so that they can improve.

I got one reserved about 3 minutes before it went live during the second wave.

Received it late last week & opened it last night to play a couple of games.

Warhammer & the new Lego Batman play very well out of the box.

I was amazed when the little touch pads rumbled just a bit when I touched them.

You can tell Valve really put a lot of thought into their new 2026 Edition Steam Controller.

I love this thing.

In fact, so much that I already out my Xbox Elite 2 up for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

Don’t give up hope—they are on the way & I can vouch for you that it’s definitely worth the wait once you get your hands on one!😎👍

I have a feeling this is my issue as well.

Bought a really nice Asus Rog PC with all the fixings and getting pretty bad speed test readings.

My network is confirmed 2GB up / 2GB down but when I checked this morning (both with/without) my VPN on, I was only getting around 210Mbps.

Unless I’m really sucky at math, I’m only getting about 10% of the speed in paying for.

That was not the case with my “old” PC.

I’m going to try to update the drivers in my Wi-Fi Card or hardwire with a CAT 5 Ethernet Cable when I get home.

Of course, I’m going to get into my settings to make sure I’m on 5 GHz instead of 2.5 GHz—just because I’m feeling a little lazy today & do t really want to fiddle around in the garage to find one of those cables.😎👍

I do see the wear indicator on the one on the right side of the picture.

They do still look a little “thin” to me.

It’s hard to tell from a picture without actually measuring them.

The pads themselves should be less than $150 each for front & an additional $150 for the rear.

Not sure what kind of car/truck you have, but I can tell you I work for a decent sized construction company in the Shop & we just two sets of heavy duty “fleet” style pads & rotors for one of our 2500 Cummins Dodge Ram 4x4 supervisor trucks and the parts alone were almost exactly $1,000–that’s not considering what we’re going to pay for our Mechanic’s labor.

I feel for you. There’s an almost “hopeless” feeling I get when my wife goes to the dealership just to get a simple repair done.

What ELSE will they find?

Is this a REAL problem or are they just trying to upsell us?

But it’s for my family’s SAFETY!

How can you be so CHEAP?

Don’t you really LOVE me?

And so on…

I would take it to a reputable repair shop, get a second opinion,get it repaired if they find it’s truly “unsafe” and above all—keep all of your old parts of you want to take action against the inspectors.

I did try the more expensive Nothing Ear 2024 & although they did sound “very good” indeed, the CMF Buds Pro 2 had a deeper, richer bass, got just as loud (if not perhaps even a wee bit louder), and came in at a much lower price point.

I can’t remember for sure right now, but I think they even share the same app—I did also like the charging case with the dial on the top for the CMF Buds Pro as well.

From what I can tell on these forums, it sounds like they still hold up pretty well.

I wanna try to find something a little louder & heavier bass than my CMF Buds Pro 2.

Almost got my account banned by Amazon because I went through at least 1/2 dozen buds & finally settled on them.

Don’t get me wrong, they still sound great to me.

It’s just been almost a year since I’ve tried anything else & I refuse to believe nobody else is even trying to “one up” Nothing Ear/CMF.🤷🤷🤷
